I loved the nes, what genre are you looking for, I could probably recommended some others too.

all of the nes games are fairly challenging in a point and click kind of way. you don't get the same style so they are challenging to adapt too.

Yea, they really didn't make easy games for the nes, you always had a good sense of accomplishment when you beat a nes game.
