Compared to people on this board, yes I'm old, but I'm not eighty. I just have old hobbies (I knit/spin/weave obsessively), and the nickname stuck.

Also, we're only supposed to check people who look under 25 (17 year olds can't look like they're 40...at least not usually). But most places aren't super strict about it (except during O-week - uni orientation week).
