    The consequences of week-old burgers?

This deserves a place in the complete retard thread...

Anyway, yesterday I got home and came upon home made burgers, knowing what a treat they are I decided to indulge, but not before asking my sister for how long they've been there. 3 days is what I was told. I decided that by using the force of the microwave it was a shot worth taking, and taste would be the final judge.

Not quite as good as fresh but the first one was decent, as was the other 3. Soon I found myself with a mounting stomach ache. I was bested by burgers. Already tired from aprehending imagine-terrorists, standing night-post against non-existant enemies and generally working from waking up to crawling up in a tent and falling asleep all week I passed out on my bed.

A few hours later the great purging began. By dawn my gut was that of a poor mans and I've been living on carbon-less coke up 'till now when I indulged myself with an apple.

Now for the purpose of the thread: How bad off am I? Most of the time I'm either too cold or too hot, I've had a headache most of the day and up until now devoid of any kind of appetite, I still am, but that apple tasted great. I feel kinda feverish.

The reason I'm asking for amature prognosis's is that I'm spending another week in the field next week; Urban style this time. So I'll be up and go in full gear from dawn until good after dusk for the whole 7 days of the week and I'm trying to get a bearing of how well I'll be by monday :badteeth:

    EDIT: Fitting postcount, hmm?

I dont quite understand where you are or where you are going, but last time I got some sort of food poisoning I threw up constantly and consecutively (nice mental picture, eh?) and I wasnt able to eat anything.

Once I was able to eat something, keep it down, actually taste it, and not throw up an hour or so later, I was in the clear.

So you may be almost through it, just get some rest and it should be ok.

my friend survived on mcdonalds double cheesburgers for two weeks straight. $3 a day for 3 burgers off the dollar menu.. not bad for a college student.

But then he had stomach problems as well and had to stop.

lol no but i know what it's about.

dont worry. he's not fat. But he did buy about-to-be-expired chicken from the supermarket for a really cheap price. Now he did get food poisoning from that.

The dude in the movie did serious damage do his body. His doctor told him his liver looked like an alcoholic's. They told him to stop or his life would be in jeopardy.

I was a pretty entertaining movie, had a few unfortunate preachy bits but apart from those it was fairly rational.

I hadn't eaten take-out in years, then this year my wife and I have had such hectic schedules that I've ended up grabbing some fast food on the way home occasionally, it always makes me feel bad afterwards. And I'm far from a health nut, I'll eat anything that tastes good. One time we had a really bad week and I had it three days in a row, I felt physically unwell for the whole last day. Sluggish and horrible. Ick.

Three days in a row on fast food? Lightweight. I'm a student, and I've survived weeks basically alternating between fast food crap meals and meals that consisted of just junk food - the best of which being a big bag of doritos and a 2L of pop. Awesome dinner right there. My stomach can handle ANYTHING... I've drank concentrated lemon juice (you know, the stuff you use for cooking?) straight - that was before I hit my teens, though. Not stupid enough any more to try that again.

I just watched this last night. The doc didn't say it looked like an alcoholic's, but that it looked like pâté  . I think he equated it like an alcoholic going on 1 month bender.

I just find it ironic that you link to Wiki here, and then bash Wiki here:

Well, actually, it was more of a condescending and sarcastic remark that a supposed Wikipedia editor wasn't quite up to date with title punctuation. I like Wikipedia. A lot. But meh, I'm allowed to be random and fickle, I'm just like that...right?

With all seriousness, this place is a freaking breath of fresh air. I browse the trade forums and the Community forum regularly, and sometimes reading the posts there is an actual challenge, not just a small syntax error here and there. I think I've seen one or two posts in the OTF that I would consider hard-to-read...they're very few and far between. Props to you guys for speaking English!
