i dunno, i think tG,tB,tU is almost too long. i liked Two Mules for Sister Sarah the most (not a Leone, i know, but still similar) closely followed by A Fistful of Dollars, it's sequal and Hang em High (not Leone).Clint Eastwood....The Good, the Bad, the Ugly. End of story. Those old westerns were awesome! I am trying to get my kids to watch them.
he's only 8 right now, but i've been working on him being a movie buff by showing him the "classics" we watched some of Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein on TV the other day (we get a cool over-the-air movie channel and he kinda liked that. he absolutely loves Young Frankenstein which i have on DVD, but who can blame him, it's great. How old is your son? I think that B&W is almost too much for this new generation to handle. And many of the old movies seem to move at a much slower pace than nowadays, which makes them tough to get in to for young people.
My kids are too young for those movies yet, but they do enjoy a lot of the old cartoons.
Netflix my man, it's great. their selection of the ones they offer streaming is getting huuuge. i watched some cheesy 80's horror (without my son) a couple weeks back. i was surprised at the selection.my daughter enjoys the a-team. it's our night time watching when she can't get to sleep. although she is too young to fully appreciate them.
Thats the big downside to my parents moving away and my brother moving onto the army base, they both had massive and i mean MASSIVE dvd collections i just used to borrow from, like a really big free video rental store, but now its too much of a pain
