I watched the very beginning of one episode today, Walker had to protect a telekinetic child prodigy and his talking computer. I'm not kidding.

I find it hard to believe that there was a point at which that was the height of coolness for me. Once you realize how lame it is, it turns into TV gold.

The weirdest thing happened last night:

Someone bellowed, shouting that the smallest of the dogs had something that needed to be taken away. I showed up, fireplace shovel in hand, to find that it was some sort of worm. The strange part is that the thing was 8 inches long.
I picked it up and put it on the porch, to show to anyone who wanted to see, and nobody else could figure it out, either. An 8 inch long worm, a cream color to it, and a pink belly. I know it wasn't a snake, so wtf was it?

PS: When I checked this morning, it had actually cooked in the sun, and turned a dark red. Weird.

i think you may have found a native north american worm...most of the worms people see today were introduced from europe and asia.

earthworms were wiped out in canada and much of the northern US by glaciers...they don't spread very fast....most worms that people see in the US are not native species.

last year, i saw an article from a newspaper from georgia that had pictures of one of the native american worms...they looked really freaky...they were thought to be extinct.

they can grow up to 3 feet long and they smell like lilies...they can dig down 15 feet in times of drought...they are supposed to be pinkish white or just white.

did you get a picture?

I didn't get a picture, sadly, but I will know it if I see it.

Another witness examined it and declared it a mud snake, but the Eastern mud snake hatches in September or October, and this would have had to have been a baby or something. Nope, definitely a worm.
