Although the site seems a little too radical for my taste, those are some interesting numbers... and I find myself with the majority of Americans on most of those issues methinks.

That site is mellow compared to www.nicedoggie.net
I like those guys. They're not limited by the "family friendly" rules we are in here.

I bet you can find 10 issues where the majority of Americans have agreed with the ACLU, too. The site seems to be a bit misleading. :p

10 vs how many thousands the majoriy don't support? More libs agree with me on issues than america agrees with the ACLU on.

Wow, big surprise; if we had a popular vote on our constitutional rights we'd lose a lot of them. Which is kind of why THEY MADE THE CONSTITUTION IN THE FIRST PLACE. Think about it, why do you need a constitution except to stop elected officials from serving the will of the majority? Pure democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner, as they say.

    It's pretty obvious.

It's not the ACLU's. They're the mere instrumentality. Take them down and another group will take its place.

The problem is the US Constitution.

It's should be shred, set on fire, use as toilet paper.

I find the topic-line interesting. So if Americans and ACLU can be juxtaposed, they must be mutually exclusive. Therefore, ACLU are not Americans. Okay...

That A must stand for Anglican? Astronauts? Advocates? Avocados?

I would post a link showing something truly nasty, but then I'd get banned.

It could simply be that the ACLU is an organization that fights for minority rights, seeing as that's how our system of government works: a balance of majority rule vs minority rights.

It could also be that there always needs to be someone in America to speak out against what the majority are doing so that there is some prominent voice of the minority of people.

Or your usual "drop a link and troll" strategy could be correct, and the ACLU are a bunch of nutbags with no rational, over-arching strategy who want to destroy America.

Wow, according to one of those statistics there are no Jews, Muslims, Hindus or anything else in America: 96% of Americans celebrate Christmas.

Oh... wait... it's a Fox News survey - Faux News, Faux Surveys.

ALL surveys are deeply flawed and prove nothing. You cannot 'randomly' survey 1000, or even 10000, people and extrapolate their answers to mean "all Americans".

That site is clearly spinning the truth. The ACLU isn't making baseless agenda against America. They are trying to protect the our rights while proposing solutions based on modern research rather than biblical scripture.
