Thanks to all that helped in the build of my necro!

Hi,

One week or so ago I was asking advice on how to build my first necro in 5 years... So yeah, thanks a lot to all that helped, the build is a real success, it was always fun to play but I brought him to a state where he can kill very fast anything in the game.

Final build I went for:
max skele mastery (now 38)
max skele (now 36)
3 base points skele mages
1 clay golem
1 summon resists
1 golem mastery
1 revive

max CE
1 bone armor
1 amplify
1 lower resists
dim vision - brought to a 10 sec duration in hell (it's like lvl 21 or so with + skills)

I have 8 or 9 points left al lvl 86, what should I do with them?:)

Thanks again,
WW

You could get Decrepify - it's well worth investing even just 1 pt in.

Either that or experiment with some AI curses (Confuse, Attract etc). You have an excess of points with a summoner, so you could put them to use messing about with different playstyles, in case you want to try a different build further down the line.

Glad to hear it's going so well

Go for the AI curses and DV in particular. It will help you versus piercing ranged attackers.

You could also work on maxing out mages as an alternative to AI curses. Not really my cup of tea, but there are plenty on the forums who advocate a maxed Warrior/Mastery/Mage build for a standard summoner. Your main killers here would still be your warriors of course. And CE

I would recommend putting a point into the remaining unchecked curses. They're all (well... except 'weaken') useful.

Life tap I found to be quite helpful during those pesky Big-D runs when I'm constantly encountering IM-cursing Oblivion Knights.

'A little life-tap will do ya!'

Keeps my skeletons a-smacking without being reduced to piles of dried-up bones. Also, it puts you on good terms with the melee characters if you decide to party up with a bunch of muscle-bound oafs.

PS: Cute Halloween avatar you got there, Jamie.
