Tenchu's Specialty Druid Build

This is a druid I have spent quite a while in creating on ladder in battle.net.
This will be an outline of all the Skill allocation and Attribute point placement I have used for this druid.
In my previous builds I have come to the conclusion that Rabies does not do enough quick enough to make a difference and the Were-bear form of the druid is not worth investing in. They just don't fit my play-style. This Druid will be purely based on Speed and Damage. I may come back and edit this page at any time in the case that I don't have enough time to type out the Template at this time or if I have other things I would like to add.

Skill Allocation:
-------------------------
Werewolf: 20
Lycanthropy: 20
Feral Rage: 1 (10 Last Thing to Max)
Rabies: 20
Fury: 20
Poison Creeper: 20
-------------------------

Attribute Point Allocation:

(Base) Strength: 150 (For MOST high requirement gear that you may need)
(Base) Dexterity: 115 (For Hit Rating, Defense Rating, and Gear)
(Base) Vitality: 300 (For the Health Of-course)
(Base) Energy: 20 (Who Adds to Energy?)

This is my Intent in terms of Attribute Placement and will be the case once I reach Level 99.

Equipment:

This setup is based primarily on what I am ACTUALLY using at the moment. I may decide to change something if it fits in better.

--------------------------------------------------
Breath of the Dying Ethereal Great Poleaxe
Alternate
Grief Phaseblade w/ Phoenix Monarch
--------------------------------------------------
Cerebus Bite: Socket = Jewel With +20 to All Res's
--------------------------------------------------
Fortitude Archon Plate
Alternate
Bramble Archon Plate
--------------------------------------------------
Dracul's Grasp Vampirebone Gloves: Great to Have
Alternate
Trang Oul's Gaunts
--------------------------------------------------
Goreriders: Great for the extra Effects
Ravenfrost: Cannot Freeze
Verdungo's Hearty Coil
Bul-Kathos Wedding Band
Mara's Kaleidoscope

This is my Gear Setup and My druid can do 6k-12k Damage ATM with Fury for each individual Hit. I tested this against my friends Smiter which was realy well built, and When I did Hit him, "When" accounting for the Massive amount of Stun, It was usually a One hit Kill.:hide:

Open For Criticism: Sorry I haven't updated it in such a long time.

Is this PvM or PvP? For PvP, the Ogre Maul, while you're baby, is your weakest link. The speed it hits isn't fast enough to fight a Smiter toe-to-toe. Nor will it be fast enough to tag a caster when they make a mistake. Also, if this is PvP, why are there points in Hunger?

If this is PvM, on the other hand, <3 the Ogre Maul, though EBotD Archon Staff is smexier ;).

if this is pvm then props for the attempt.

if this is pvp then hahahahahah. everything would kill this build. no offence.

ps you can only edit things after an hour so coming back to edit things as you please isnt really plausible..

On the Contrary, the Ogre Maul is Fast enough, its just hard to get past the unblockable stun of Smite, and as the answer the question, The points into Hunger are supposed to be for emergency while "Uber"ing. I have good life steal but sometimes I need pure life-steal while I wait for my Dracul's to kick in with life tap.

... So... is this for PvP?
i dont know dude. if it is its a much weaker version of all fury druids currently in existance.

do you really need 15 points in hunger for ubers when you already got 10 points into feral rage, not to mention the fact you should have life tap kicking in at some point as well. theres so many wasted points spent in my opinion. this is why most builds either go all pvp or all pvm.

this build has to be pvm cause it doesnt account for max block at all. you're a sitting dead duck with out it. theres no way you can argue that a 6-frame two handed weapon > 1 hander with block for pvp.

That's actually a 5 frame weapon, same as a Windhammer or IK Maul, but as to the rest of it, they've got a point. Hunger is nigh on useless in PvP, and feral only for charging up RW (which I usually do at least on carvers with CtA so I get it all on one monster), and unless you've got an absolute monster with 10k+ life, going two-handed in PvP is generally suicide against other melee.

Oh By the way, Ethereal Breath of the Dying Great Poleaxe > EBoTD Archon Staff.
It hits stuff from so far away >.O

The Archon Staff was brought up for PvM. GPA>Ogre Maul. So lets see...No Block, Low FRW, Nat's peace?...

Ah, so this IS for PvP. So then... what separates this from the other Fury guides out there? The only thing you're doing differently is the jewelry setup (which IMO is pretty bad, Nature's Peace?). Also, for PvP, pure two hander is suicide 99% of the time. The only exception I can think of is WR's 10k life behemoth.

Re: Tenchu's Specialty Druid Build

It's not a PVP build I just like the combination of a weapon with a Range of 5, Crazy Lifesteal, and Knockback. If I was doing PvP I would use a Last Wish Phase Blade and a Phoenix Monarch. I am well aware that a BOTD Eth Thunder Maul would do way more damage I'm just saying that I like having that extra bit of range. And I did see the error of Hunger I dont even know why I recorded that one. I suppose I put them into hunger because I couldnt find anything else worth the points or the effort? Got any advice for that? I would love some I get kind of bored with 40 something extra skill points.

PS: The Natures was specifically for Nihlathek otherwise I switch out for a BK and Mara's

Re: Tenchu's Specialty Druid Build

This is not a PVP Build.
I was Using the Smiter reference as an Example for a basis of my damage.
I find PvP kind of pointless, There is always a better build out there, and/or there is always a build that trumps your own. Sorry about the confusion. I'm not sure of all of this.

Feral's a lot better than Hunger... and it's not -75% physical. I dunno if Hunger even leeches most bosses actually, I could never get them to leech.

If I was doing PvP I would use a Last Wish Phase Blade and a Phoenix Monarch

Why the bloody hell would you use Cerebrus in PvM? You shouldn't need that kind of AR and Jalal is just more friendly overall.

If I was doing PvP I would use a Last Wish Phase Blade and a Phoenix Monarch

Ditto.

In all honesty, I'd use Ribby over BotD. Mainly due to the whacking sound ^_^.

Because While Ribcracker is nice. The sound would be drowned out by MSI =)

And whats wrong with Last Wish and Phoenix?

(I need a Serious answer; I'm not as experienced as anyone on this website apparently)

One Off topic question, Where do I edit my Picture, I can't seem to find it in the About Me section of my profile.....

Re: Tenchu's Specialty Druid Build

Last Wish is far too slow for any serious PvP Wolf and doesn't provide anywhere near the necessary damage to be viable. Phoenix Shield has horrible blocking and it's only redeeming feature, the Redemption aura, is useless for PvP purposes.

Also, Ribby is dirt cheap, another reason to use it :D.

EDIT- Do you mean avatar?

Yes, the avatar, and wouldnt speed not matter with a 200 something % increased attack speed from wolf form? If not Last Wish how about Grief?

Re: Tenchu's Specialty Druid Build

Nope, after live SLvl 5 WW OIAS does nothing for attack frames unless you're attacking with an extremely slow weapon.

Grief is one of the best PvP weapons.
