templar might

planning to make a zealot

just wanted to know wether templar might is worth for zealots coz the def is huge but other mods are so-so,also the req str is around 232 so too many stats into str

and around 150 r req in dex for max block ,so i dont think i'll have enough into vitality ,i am planning to use SS so do i still req 150 for max block or can i compensate some into str so that i can use templar might armor

or rather use STONE achieve max block and finish off with remianing into vitality

thank you

Templar's Might could definately be used as as a Zealot armour, however I don't really think it's optimum for them - and that there are plenty of better armours out there.

Why the Stormshield? I know it's a groovy shield, but I do not believe it has the Zealot feel. I would suggest either a Alma Negra or a HoZ - Exile if you can afford it.

You shouldn't need that amount of Dex with the usage of Holy Shield.

Guardian Angel is a great armour, and will definately help your blocking.

Do not go with templers might as your armor. It could work.. But you would have to get the str needed redused so you could get more points to vit and dex.

of course tyrael's would... its the most godly armor of armors. but i bet only a handful of people on these forums own one. no one trades for them o_O

I can think of a bunch of armors I'd rather have than Tyraels Might.

Upped Eth Zod'ed Shaftstop (assuming Perf: 2424 Defense)
Perks: 60 life, 30% dr
Str Req: about 126

Upped Eth ZodPulPul Black Hades (assuming Perf: 3007.8 Defense)
Perks: 3,000 + defense is a rather nice perk in it's self. Though if you wanted, you could drop one Pul for a Cham, or both for a Cham and Ber. Flexability is a huge perk here.
Str Req: about 184

Eth Zod'ed Valor (assuming Perf: 2175)
Perks: fhr, skills, vita, damage reduced by x (not that big, but it helps.)
Str Req: about 132

Eth Zod'ed Upped Guardian Angel (assuming Perf: 2385 Defense)
Perks: 15% max res all, +1 pala skills, increased blocking which saves dex. Plus it gives you that almost-black sexy look.
Str Req: about 156

Eth Pul'ed Upped Skin of the Flayed One (assuming Perf: 2275 Defense)
Perks: Auto-repair, replenish life, almost no strength req.
Str Req: about 76

Eth Zod'ed Upped Duriel's Shell (assuming Perf: 2377 Defense)
Perks: Cannot be frozen, life/clvl, resists, +15 str, low str req
Str Req: about 94

Eth Pul'ed Upped Skullders (assuming Perf: 2559 Defense)
Perks: +1 skills, auto-repair, and if you want you can MF a bit with it.
Str Req: about 132

Eth Zod'ed Upped Toothrow (assuming Perf: 2570 Defense)
Perks: Open Wounds, +15 str, sexy white look.
Str Req: about 139

Eth Zod'ed Gladiator's Bane (assuming Perf: 2244 Defense)
Perks: Damage reduced by X, Cannot be frozen, FHR, Poison Length Reduced.
Str Req: about **

Eth Pul'ed Steel Carapace (assuming Perf: 2924 Defense)
Perks: fhr, damage reduced, cold res, auto-repair
Str Req: about 184

Eth Templar's Might (assuming Perf: 2884 Defense)
Perks: str/vita, fhr, +offensive auras
Str Req: about 185

Compare these options to a Tyrael's Might, and I'll take these options any day of the week, and twice on sunday.

*Note* I may be off on the str req, as I'm not entirely sure how much Ethereal takes off, so assume a bit more than I have listed. *Note*

Just making some comparisons.

Afterall, Zod's are relatively easy to get ahold of off-ladder, and since it recently converted...

Or you could just go with one of the Pul'ed options.

Up'd ethereal armors are waste of a zod as they have the same defense as regular up'd armors. Zod for -10 str? Nah.

I was under the impression this bug had been fixed.

Never heard any of that, when should that have happened?
I'd heard mentions of the glitch being fixed some time last season. A friend of mine on USWest upped an eth HoZ, and the defense and everything was bang on. I'll call him about it tonight if he's at home and see if he still has it.

Its tough to tell with an eth HoZ, since Gilded Shields and Zakarum Shields have really close defense ranges.

Yeah I forgot about that aspect of the bug. Post a screen shot for us then Storm. It would be nice if Blizz would get around to fixing these bugs.
