[Technical Question] Poison damage on weapons

Does poison damage on weapons negate/cancel/prevent Open Wounds, Crushing Blow, Deadly Strike, and other damage modifiers? I looked through several FAQs and guides and could not find this specifically stated. I do recall that poison damage is generally frowned upon as BM in duels, but I was told today that it actually negates alot of damage modifiers and accessory damage like I mentioned above. Somebody set me straight please.

    Thanks in advance.

Poison damage does not "negate" anything.

That is what I assume, and I was hoping what I heard was simply a myth. The only reason I questioned my own knowledge was that this player has an equally great knowledge of the game mechanics and I thought I was missing something.

So I will just assume that 21 poison damage over 5 seconds on my weapon does not interfere with my open wounds or crit/deadly strike.
