Could you tell me who exactly are : dac farren, sharptooth slayer and tresh socket and where they are? I have another language version of game so I don't know who they are :/ Thanks

1st is middle of town and 1st wp in act5

2nd one is guarding 1st fortress where 5 soldiers are trapped.

3rd is near 2nd wp, guarding that hole.

Pindle keeps dropping great stuff (grandfather, mara's, 2 IKSC, etc ...) but no TR armor, so, I guess I'll be looking to trade for the armor.
also, I've gotten my baal runs down to +/- 5 minutes, but man, does he drop a lot of garbage.

In any case, I haven't been on bnet in a long time, so i'm not sure how to engage in a trade with anyone (I'll be on USEast), so I'm open for suggestions.

I couldn't have said it better myself... I think think the best item he's ever given me is something like a Stormshield (which, I've gotten several of from Meph or Pindle).

Did you look around the USEast trade forum yet? In particular, there are often several threads in the stickies that will help "get you started." Definitely have a "good and thorough" read of the Rules and FAQ (read: violating the rules = bad, and you're probably not the first to be wondering "where do I start?")...

... from there, it'll (hopefully) be clear how to proceed.

I'm starting to think that i should probably switch between running the pits and pindle. I can clear the pits in about 4 - 7 minutes (depending on types of mobs) and it might be a bit more productive then running Baal.

I have never in my whole D2 life had a a Tal Rasha plate or amulet drop. I have given up on them and simply get the runes/pgems to by one from people with more luck and time 8)

Do not give up!!!

This ladder i was building my full tals orb/CL sorc. I only missed the ring and plate, so i was going to mule some itens to try to trade for them.

I created a normal game, and started killing stuf to get 5 minutes of game. Start killind andy (poor drops) and went to kill mephisto. He droped a Green ammy, i was like "ok,Angelic, that sucks", but that was a freaking Tals!!!!!!!!!


So if i got a tals ammy from NORMAL mephisto, you can get it from somewhere else!! just dont look for it, you will never find the item you are looking for. You might find a Soj if you are desperately looking for a isenharts plate.

I found it just now. 10 minutes ago. And my tip is; Baalruns. You'll find a lot of nice other stuff along the way. I've done 50 runs in 3 days. Found M'avina bow, 2 x Gladiators Bane, Eschutas Temper and now a Tals Armor. It's a lot more fun with Baal than Pindle too.

And the most important tip. Don't look for it. You'll never find it when you are specifically looking for "that one" item. Good luck though.

That would be an example of gambler's fallacy since whether or not you expect it to drop doesn't affect its actual chance of dropping.

I imagine most people are simply not hunting in the right places and furthermore aren't rolling enough trials. Since it is a Lacquered Plate base it doesn't drop from many boss types. I have personally seen 2 of them drop from Lister in the past 3 weeks on baal runs but they were both pickited away so fast I really had no chance of grabbing one.

Yeah mine was from Listers gang as well. Seems he got a fair chance do drop them. The minions have also dropped 2 Griswolds armors and 1 IK Maul. That's the only set items I've gotten from the Minions which is quite weird.

Errrr, I agree, you cant get a 2sox Tal amour. Got a screenshot before you sold it?


Onto the topic, ive been trying to find an angelic amu for ages (need it for my charger duel pala, he needs the AR combined with ring). Ive found ~20 set amus (inc. 1 tal amu, lol), but no angelic, wtf!!

Just found one in the Pit, first major item of that category for me ever (never been much of an Mfer)

The Pit seems to be where this stuff drops more often than you'd expect, plus it's easy at sin.

hmm, maybe i should be running the pits again for a while.
It's probably just me but it seems that pindle is dropping less and less good loot to more I kill him. It's just that "let's kill him 1 more time, maybe he'll drop it now" thing that keeps me going

Nothing shakes off repetitive mf run boredom better than an almost constant risk of dying. :wink:

2 Tal's armor drops for me in The Pit so far this season. Don't underestimate that place. Keep running it, even if it's just to put lvls on your toon. In fact, run Pit while focusing on other reasons for being there. That way, when a nice magic item drops you'll be more pleasantly surprised.

Quest dropping Baal is another great way to go. I've gotten 2 Tal's armors there over a week of mf'ing him. In fact, it's been every lacquered plate that's dropped off Baal so far for me.
