Fend/Jab/Impale only work with Spears or Javelins.

Of course it's plausable. It's perfectly viable. Such a build is called a "Tankazon" or "Battlemaid", named after the fact that it is one of the best tanks in the game with high Dodge/Avoid/Evade, 75% block and half-decent defense.

Try one with a Passion in a Berserker Axe, Caduceus or Cryptic Sword. That way you get the Zeal and Berserk skills. The Cryptic Sword is the best IMO, personal preference and visually.

Gear is the usual melee fare - Guillaume's Face, Stormshield, CoH/Fort, then from there it's up to you. A big problem is the slow blocking speed, which can be remedied a little with a Shael rune in the shield, or Guardian Angel.

Special note - Guardian Angel is a particularly good armor if you want to go with a great defensive setup. 90% all resists means near-elemental immunity, the 30% Faster Block Rate helps your slow block speed immensely, and the extra chance of blocking saves a lot of Dex for max block. The best part though, is that it looks sexy on an Amazon!!!

Your damage wont be outstanding, but you'll be able to tank with the rest of them. Max Valkyrie plays a part in your damage output too, and you'd probably want to use a few +max damage charms to up your damage a little.

I'd make a fuzzy-dodger personally. It's a bearzon. The guide for it can be found in the sticky for Build Guides.

That's another way... but you can't see the Sword then! It defeats the whole purpose.

Besides, Passion has the Berserk oskill - instant PI and IM solution.
