Superior armors: myths and facts...
1. Superior armors can have 10-15% enhanced defense and/or 10-15% enhanced durability
2. Only enhanced durability increases the repair costs of runewords
3. Enhanced defense means that the base defense of the item is set to the highest possible defense for the base item +1.
4. Only the base defense +1 is enhanced by %edef found on runewords. So, if a superior 15%edef 4os Archon plate (non eth) is socketed with Fortitude runeword the following calculation applies for the final defense rating:
5. The mechanics described in 1-4 for armors apply for weapons if you substitute edef for edmg (I am pretty sure this is not entirely correct).
Can you please post true/false on these 5 and maybe ellaborate a bit for the ones I have got wrong? :thumbup:
