    Sunburn treatment

I had to go to some festival thing all day today and i'm sunburt sooo bad. I have some stuff already that soothes it and all, but does anyone know of something that'll help speed up how long it takes to heal?

Aloe. I don't know if that's what you have or not, but there's this green gel with aloe that I always use. It's the only thing that really speeds up healing. If you're hurting, you can always ice it down. I know that's not going to really help matters, but it can keep the pain/itch away.

One time my chest got burnt so bad, it itched like hell for about 5-6 hours after the burn started. I had to keep an ice pack directly on my chest to numb it so much that it wouldn't itch.

Yea, the green aloe vera gel is what I have, I already have some on and all, but its not really hurting at all. Tomorrow is prolly when it'll be hurting.

Moisturizing aloe lotion works for me. I usually heal completely in 3 days.

Aloe man, it REALLY helps. Not only does it make it clear up faster, but it eases the pain. I love the stuff!

Like everyone else said. Just live in a tub of aloe vera lotion/gel whatever and you should be fine.

Aloe Vera is cool stuff. If you grow the plant yourself you can just break open one of the stem and squeeze the goo on straight from the source.

Take a cold shower, if the pain is too great.

Ah...i usually go for a hot shower. Hot shower and a washcloth...scrub every area thats been burnt pretty good. I know it will hurt like hell esp if the burn is bad, but it feels much better afterwards, and i even find that the burn goes away sooner after that.
