Summons actual damage

On my hunter i have a maxed out HOW and a good might merc is there anyway to tell how much your grizzly or wolves do with the auras? do your summons have resistances and is there anyway to tell what there defense is besides percentages?

Doubt many people will be able to answer this. In case you fail to get an answer, you may try your luck in the Statistics Forum.

Exact damage calculations are not that hard, just more time-consuming than ordinary stats.

Spirit Wolf base dmg:
Slvl 1: 2 - 6
Slvl 8: 9 - 13 (1 dmg per Slvl from 2 to 8)
Slvl 16: 25 - 29 (2 dmg per Slvl from 9 to 16)
Slvl 22: 59 - 63 (4 dmg per Slvl from 17 to 22)
Slvl 28: 89 - 93 (5 dmg per Slvl from 23 to 28)
From Slvl 29 and on 8 dmg per Slvl.
Ed% = 25*Slvl

Fenris base dmg:
Slvl 1: 7 - 12
Slvl 8: 21 - 26 (2 dmg per Slvl from 2 - 8)
Slvl 16: 45 - 50 (3 dmg per Slvl from 9 - 16)
Slvl 22: 81 - 86 (6 dmg per Slvl from 17 - 22)
Slvl 28: 123 - 128 (8 min dmg per Slvl from 23 - 28, 9 max dmg per Slvl from 23-28)
From Slvl 29+ 11 min dmg per Slvl, and 13 max dmg per Slvl.
Ed% = 25 * Slvl

Grizzly base dmg:
Slvl 1: 30 - 60
Slvl 8: 100 - 130 (10 dmg per Slvl from 2 to 8)
Slvl 16: 220 - 350 (15 dmg per Slvl from 9 to 16)
Slvl 22: 340 - 370 (20 dmg per Slvl from 17 to 22)
Slvl 28: 496 - 526 (26 dmg per Slvl from 23 to 28)
From Slvl 29 and on 30 dmg per Slvl.
Ed% = 15 + 10*Slvl

Then just use the normal dmg formula: base * (1 + (ed%/100))
The ed% is the bonus from Might (need the spreadsheet for the exact bonus?), the innate (invisible?) ed% bonus, the synergy from Grizzly and the ed% from HoW. Good luck on that one.

Resists on the three animal summons are: 5 * (Slvl-1), capped at 85 (Slvl 18)
Spirit resists:
25% Fire/Magic/Cold/Lightning in all difficulties
70% poison in Normal
100% poison in NM/Hell
100% physical resist in NM (It's physical immune in NM :teeth: )

hello rtb, does this mean the spirits go from 100% phys resist in nm to 0% phys resist in hell? (what a rip!)

Nope, they (Spirit wolf, Fenris, and Grizzly) gain resistances all by themselves. +5 per Slvl, starting from Slvl 2.

How did you find an innate hidden bonus on the wolves? I thought they received no ed until grizzly?...btw grizzly is 25% +10%slevel lol(also if you have yuor wolves around mines level which is 45(soon to be 49) then you should be doing more then say 2300 or so damage...I 1 hit fallen with mine and they have around 2200 life and I think 15% dr?) Perhaps you should recalculate though...are the ones in bold there...enhanced def? or is it enhanced damage...I doubt theyd have 25% ed on them per level and yet have grizzlies synergy. Heres how I think it goes...for spirit wolf...1slvl 2-6,2 3-8, 3 4-9, 4 5-10, 5 6-11, 6 8-12, 7 9-13, 8 10-14, 9 12-17, 10 14-19, 11 17-21, 12 19-24, 13 21-26, 14 24-28...taking too long skipping to lv 45 lol... 45 247-251. now grizz ed = 25+10x x being the level of the grizz skill so lv 45 = 25 + 440 = 465% boost + 100% base boost...the original damage... = 565% + HoW of say 328% plus around...donno might figure...200% best bet... = 1093% ed x 251(lv 45 base wolf daamge) = 2743.43 or just 2743 =P In innate bonus do you mean the grizzlies aid to your others in damage bonus per level synergy? But I think my calculation here of how and might + lv 45 wolf fully syned is correct it one hits most thing in hell with around 2k life on the monsters...like fallen or shaman.

Might I suggest that perhaps those 25% eds arent eds you got confused somewhere and maybe by chance its the life synergy of the dire wolf and the 25% ar syn on the spirit wolf? :D But that's just a guess...lol.

This info should be stickied. Maybe reformated into a basic info page on summons then stickied.

Grizzly's ar has to go up with lvl or he would never hit. With only a base ar of 300 and assuming a 400% bonus between HoW and Spirit Wolves he would only hit 1500 ar. That seems mighty low compared to how often he hits hell monsters and low def players. Could someone explain this?

I believe around lv 45 a grizzly has 7k ar with maxed out spirit wolves I think so i'm guessing it does go up per level...you just can't see it going up because it doesnt list it?...
Edit: This calculator shows it here.(just put points into grizzly starting at 1 and up you'll notice ar gaining per level) =P edit: seems my link doesnt work...to me anyhow leme see what I did wrong...blah. lol alright fixed.

RTB I must disagree with you when you said that spirit wolves in hell are nothing but a distraction. They are infact quite powerful. On my offensive pvp summoner sprit, dire {fenris}, and grizzly are all lvl 43-44, and they all have really close net damage {5 spirit wolves do about 1148-1171 damage each, 3 dires do 1690-1930 each, & 1 grizzly does 5416-5583}.

As you see, the min damage of all 5 spirit wolves hitting is better than the min damage of a grizzly's one swipe. Using 5 damaging minions in a duel has its power over 1 higher damaging minion such as vrs a necro or any other characters pron to block lock that dont leach. Also it makes minion stacking easier.

Btw, I got A+ {99%} on that paper, want a copy?

I must still be used to 1.09 Spirit wolves. They can be useful on higher Slvls in 1.10 :)

MrGoth: I was wondering when you were going to PM me. Yes, I'd like to see it. Nicely done too.

RTB and All:
Defense and AR of druid minion dependent from level of minion (=level of Druid).
Defense of minion is data from your table multiple by coefficient from files monlvl.txt
AR of minion is data from your table + skill bonus (100/+15 per level for Raven, 75/+20 per level for spirit wolf, 150/+20 per level for Fenris, 300/+20 per level for Grizzly) + bonus from minion level (85 multiple by coefficient from files monlvl.txt).
Bug of Blizzard passive bonus to AR from skill Summon Spirit Wolf is not percentage is direct +25 AR per level.

Is the column NoRatio only a comment field then?

Interesting. I see I have read over that tidbit, tohit is +ar. Not really a bug, just a massive typo.

NoRatio for Hit Point. Hit Point of minion do not increase with number of players in game. Damage of minion from skills.txt.
All parametr of druid minion I tested.

That makes creating tables pointless, because they would be huge. Slvl of summon, Slvl of Spirit Wolf and the Clvl of the summoner (-2 in the case of ravens) all affect AR/defense apparantly. A calculator would be a better idea, since the skill calcs are just as wrong as I was.

I guess I wasn't aware of the true function of NoRatio. Does it only prevent the increase from additional players?

Defense of minion is data from your table multiple by coefficient from files monlvl.txt
In the case of Spirit Wolves 57+17*Slvl, and the others 50+10*Slvl to their +% defense too. Funny how Blizzard messed Spirit Wolf up.

Druid summons are more interesting than I originally thought.

Druid Summon Calc in Excel format. I write review of druid skill, but on Russian. This Calc is based on my review.
Characteristic:
1) English and Russian Language.
2) All minion parametr. Damage of speshial hit, life regeneration and many more.
3) My pride: AR and Defense of druid minion (dependant on druid level and difficulty)
4) Calculate chanse to hit and been hit, chanse and length of blind for raven if fill monster parametr
5) If "Aura active" for Oak Sage and Heart of Wolverine wolves and bear parametr changes (Do not active 2 aura simultaneously)
6) If fill "Aura bonus" you can see changes in minion parametr.
