Summoner verses D-Clone ?

I have a lvl 82 summoner with good gear and wanted to know if he is capable of taking on the D-clone.

Also, what is best strategy ? I cast decript and drop a buff clay golem on the normal bosses ASAP now. Then fire teeth to get other minions and merc to attack.

My gear:

Beast+homo shield for combat and AKL+Boneflame for summoning.

Skin Vmage

Max resists

10 skells+ 4 mages + 7 revives

Merc gear:

Insight thresher

Rattlecage (40% crushblow)

Tal's mask

Er.. I don't think you will be able to with that
You need alot more godly gear especially enigma

Actually, with your merc wearing a better helm (vamp or at least crown of thieves) and a nice stick, you can take on Uber D. All your skells will keep him busy while your Merc CB's him down to low health, then Amp/Decrep will speed the process from there.
I say you got a fighting chance

I forgot to mention that this is hardcore.
Save all the IK mauls you find and make an Iron Golem.

On your merc, try a Shael, Shael, Amn HoneSundan and a Guillame's Helm (IAS) and give him either 4x IAS armor, or Treachery.

Poison mages take care of the regen, so long as they stay out of Geddon and not get blasted to bits.

Cheers, :sunny:

Fortitude will not help your merc survive iron maiden.

You could take away his weapon to reduce the damage he inflicts and
takes under IM.

FInding the D-clone is not that difficult. It is mainly a matter of luck.

The D-clone spawns on a server after approximatly 100 SOJ's are sold to vendors in town in games on that server.

There are organized groups of people who sell SOJs inorder to spawn the dclone. The make a game and tell each other the server it's on. Then members make thier own hell games on the same server and wait for him to spawn so they can kill him and get the anni.

I dont remember exactly how to find the server number, but I think you push the windows key, go to window and open up a cmd shell. You type netstat -a or netstat -l. A number of lines of numbers are written to the screen and one of those has a 4000 in it. The number to the left of the 4000 is the server number.

The D-Clone only spawns in a hell game and replaces the first unique you would see. It is best to spawn him in act1 or act 2. The palace cellor is reachable from the arcain wp or the carin stones in stoney fields are both good places to spawn him.

HCKull, i think you have a shot at beating him. do you have a source of teleport? even ammy charges? cast decrep, glay golem when you see him, then teleport right on top of him with your entire army. walk away a little bit and stay out of the way of the light hose .. basically the same strategy as Hell Diablo.

if you get a game where he walks, try to spawn him in a wide open area that you can move about easily.

only revive urdars, they will make the job faster with the crushing blow they provide. how are your mercs resists? perhaps a decent Smoke armor and an Obedience runeword if you have access to those runes (fairly cheap overall). that'll give your merc more resists and more crushing blow. switch the tals mask for a guillaumes if you can trade for one in HC.

Mana will not be a problem - you'll just keep casting decrep. at least you don't have to worry about any minions being summoned :)

i've beaten him in SCL without dying, it seemed quite easy even with Naj's staff for teleport. more resists and crushing blow, decrep all the way. i haven't died against him with my summoner, but i was at level 85 the first time.. hope that helps.

I have a tele amulet, but have not used it because I will lose a skell or 2 and like the extra mana, life and skill that I get from my amulet.

Not sure what resists my merc has in hell, I will have to check. Merc has 40 % crushblow from rattlecage. Not the best armor, but I like the crushing blow.

I would take him on in a1 cold plans or stoney field as the monsters there are prettyeasy and would serve for CE.
