well, revives should be really helpful to you, but is there enough space around baal for all skelies, merc, clay dawg, and revives to surround him? I mean he's fat, but it would be kind of hard to get all your minions to hit him at the same period of time. And amist all this confusion, what will the revives, who have iq's of -100 (at least) do?

of course, the extra minions that don't attack baal can always just substitue the ones who die (since you cant revive or raise skellies with him, and it's annoying to tp out and get new monsters)

Leave the skellies for this fight, let the Urdars and your Merc take him down, this is their fight.

yes, all your minions can swarm over baal on the bridge and only on the bridge alone. done it all the times.....

1. after you re-enter from the tp to get all your minions on your side on the bridge
2. cast decrepify and run past him.
3. cast clay golem in front of baal so it can slow him down when it hits him
4. by then all your skellys, merc, revives will swarm and crowd around him.
5. cast decrepify or Amp
6. repeat 5. after spell runs out.

revives the venom lords that is in baal's minions, they can hit further than the skellys and they really pack a punch. dun worry bout they IA in here, they won't wander off unless you run all over the place.

Just don't let Baal called his other half out, very time consuming and troublesome :grrr:

As long as baal is "gumbied", decrepified and chilled, he won't teleport, summon his clone or make tentacles.

Don't know whether the code says he doesn't, but he "never" (he has teleported out of the fight once during the last season) does it for me. Could be that he's just too frightened (I mean... I killed the other primes with my minions, disposed of his minions with my minions, and now I'm coming for him... with MY minions), and the aforementioned spells sound complicated enough so he's unable to cast them.

sometime when i lag alot, he is able to tele out of my swarm cluster and summon his evil half out...

but most of the time once i have him cornered, his fate is already sealed. if my merc used reaper's toll, i can just leave them as it is and just ROC, watching them killing him slowly......

I'm sorry I didn't read all the replies... but here is my 2 cents take it as you will...

Most of my forum buddies (kbob, NC, HoS, etc) know that I'm partial to summoners, and if you'll excuse me saying so. I'm pretty damn good at making them.

Hell baal is a cinch. granted you will be slower than a hammerdin or some other builds but slow and steady wins the race (sortof).

My current summoner is lvl 85 so he's pretty well finished.
Through gear I am able to maintain lvl 38 skellies and they slice baal down in no time.

Here is the trick I use. My merc is your typical A2 might merc. Equiped with Gface, Hone, and Rattlecage.

I cast Clay golem at baal. Baal attacks Golem. My skellies and revives (balrogs/venomlords) catch up. Merc gets in as well I cast decrep to slow baal and let balrogs work... by the time balrogs die off, baal is usually 1/2 str. then I cast amp as he is surrounded by pounding skellies and my merc's crushing blow mods wipe him out in no time flat.

There's my advice equip yourself or your merc with crushing blow and take a whack a baal.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Thanks for all the help people. :worship:

Orphan's Call helmet did the trick. The crushing blow makes Hell Baal drop much faster. I dont even need any minions, just a clay golem and my merc.

Also having the +strength allowed me to change my merc's armor to Balrog skin. Baal is not a problem anymore; now if I can only get an Enigma ...

:innocent:
