Summoner clon hunter?

You might wanna list the gear you plan to use for this feat, because anything's possible with the right stuff.
Soloing? Sorry to say, but I doubt it unless you've got some nice *** stuff like CTA, Beast, Bramble, Etc. Of course, if you can afford that stuff, you can trade it for a lot cheaper stuff and get another character for DClone. But by yourself...well DClone has 95 PDR, 75 blocking, and a TON of life...I just don't think skellies can do that much even with decent gear. And you would have to fight in a place where you can keep summoning, and even then you would eventually run out. By the time you went to get new minions, I'm pretty sure DClone would've regen'ed most of his life.

The main problem with DC for a summoner, is that his fire attack wipes out your skeletons very quickly, so it will be a long drawn out battle, but can be done. But you will have to keep getting your army over and over again.

I've seen a trang's poison build be able to handle DC well enough, and much quicker than with a summoner. But best builds would be a zealot or barb for DC in my opinion.

U should try to get high CB gear on ur merc and use clay golem to slow him down:D also, decripify curse removes 50% enemy resistance, am i right? gl with clone

You do NOT need Godly gear to take down the clone but it does help if u do. The main thing is to MAX FIRE and Lightning Resistance here.

Load up on CB for yourself and your merc. Even get some revives that do CB and you will do fine. The problem against him is stopping him from destroying everything. Decrep+clay combo should get him busy.

Try to get PMH or poison damage to stop him from regen. Items that do lower Resistance will help too. Facets etc

Killing dclone with a Skelemancer is simple, but not a 30-second job. I've done it several times.

First of all, you do not need "godly gear". Here is my Skelemancer, and he does just fine.

There are essentially three main parts:
1) Spawn him. I like to use the superunique at the tristam portal --- easy to find, free space, a useful portal (see below), and style points for the location.
EDIT: 1.1) If it's your first time, you might want to let him finish off (most of) your army, so you can see how much health you can take off him with one army, as "preparation" for step 3.
2) Retreat and get revives with crushing blow. The usual candidates are Urdars from River of flame, Maulers from Durance of Hate, Blunderbones from the palace, Thorned Hulks from Kurast and possibly other beasts.
2.1) Let the revives beat dclone to a pulp. Essentially, let them take him down to a pixel or two.
2.2) If your revives can't handle it, get fresh ones
2.3) Make sure you have poison magi --- they get insane poison duration. Also, if your merc has poison damage, make sure the poison from your magi is in effect when retreating
3) When the clone is down to just a pixel or two, retreat, raise a full skelly army, and finish him off.

At all times, keep him "gumbied" and decrepified. Don't worry about your merc, he's not important for the crushing blow phase at all, jusr revive him for the final stage.

I spawn him in a 1-player game, but then I move in a mule to make a portal in tristam --- that way, when getting the revives, I can tp back to town without loosing my portal to the clone. Running back to the wp usually doesn't work, since the revives will vanish. I only skip this "mule portal" if the stony field waypoint is next to the stones.

Another option would be to spawn him in place of Eldritch since he's almost sitting on the waypoint, but it's much better if there are just act 1 monsters in the vicinity.

EDIT: as for myself, I hardly ever get hit by anything the clone does. I just keep my distance, and try to avoid standing in the direction he's casting his breathweapon. If he does cast it my way, I just move out of the way.
His Armageddon is completely harmless, since it rains down around him, and that's NOT where I am.

I've done this recently in a game with 3 players I of course killed him and the other bastards took the anni

I decrept him and cast gumby... my skellies surrounded him in open field and merc had plenty of CB so it took him down quick. I stood behind a rock only to run out and recast decrep. his flam circle couldn't hit me where i stood.

It took about 5 min to kill him but it was done.

btw. I keep lvl 38 skellies on a regular basis. another bk ring or soj, and arach's I'd have lvl 40. That's without any summoning charms also

Revives with stun attacks can stun-lock him. Urdars and those big trees are good for this.

I'll summarize what others have said:

Crushing Blow is good for necro, merc, and revives.
Slow from Clay and Decrep is a good combo.
Skellies are tertiary to revives.
