Summoner Build w/ Fury Support Viable?

Just looking for opinions here, if a 20 Bear / 20 Dire Wolf/ 20 HoW / 20 Fury, rest fillers and whatever is needed has succeded with others. If so, what gear recommendations, skills or dmg/ar/dex/str?

It's viable, I did it. I used Oak though. And you'd just build it like a Fury Wolf. The summons will be fine without a gross amount of + skills. Especially if you're using Dracs. I used 4 Summon GCs to balance it out though.

Ah righto. I figured the summons would be my replacement for lycanthropy since I'd let them tank most of the time in hell.

Are summon grand charms cheap? I figure if theyre one of the cheaper ones I could go mostly dex/ar/elemental damage gear and a ribcracker and then just have summon grand charms instead of skill items, so I could focus on damage gear but still have high level summons to survive hell.

A Fury with summons is fine, though I still prefer having Shockwave (see build guide of Town Dump Bear by Safetypro).

As for gear, the ideal is probably something like:
- Ribcracker (upped or not) / Tombreaver
- Jalals Mane
- CoH / Duriels / Duress / Lionheart / Shaftstop (upped)
- Gore Riders
- Draculs / Laying of Hands
- Verdungos / String of Ears
- 2 x Ravenfrost or Ravenfrost with rare ring with resists
- Metalgrid or Highlords
- Druid Torch, skillers (summoning or shapeshifting)
- Switch: HOTO and Spirit for prebuffing summons

Look at some of the guides for more help.

question: will i really need shockwave in hell? with level 20 dire bear and about 10 to skills, wolves have almost 1.5k health each and bears have 8k health right? wouldn't it be better to get fury so I could dominate bosses quickly, so each of fury's 5 hits has a chance for crushing blow from ribcracker + gores etc.

I my merc uses ethereal reaper's toll, that would cover all weaknesses of this build, wouldn't it? PI's go down to decrepify, i have good tanking from summons and merc as well as myself, and then i have tons of crushing blow for bosses.

It's all preference. I preferred to Fury with the pack. Some like more safety and opt for SW.

And Decrep will speed up your killing ALOT.
