Summon/Rabies wolf

This isn't so much a build guide as it is just an idea i've been batting around recently. It seems like alot of the builds for werewolves and shapeshifter druids in general focus on dumping tons of skill points into synergies that are rarely themselves used (case in point: Fireclaw builds). My problem with this is that it seems to be a waste of resources. Don't get me wrong, synergies are vital but i get the feeling that builds that rely on them less have a tendency to be more versatile in PvP. The idea i've got is a summoner/rabies wolf for taking down melee players that would otherwise wreck a wolf. Note: this character would be practically useless for PvM so it'd be tough to create a legit character this way. so here's what i've got just off the top of my head
skills
1 pt Raven
10 spirit wolves
20 dire wolves
20 Poisen Creep

20 Lycan
1 prerecks (Including of course Werewolf)
20 Rabies

2 for Arctic Blast and then remaining points into Cyclone armor. Or depending on how far you want to level, invest in a spirit, probaby Oak.

The idea behind this is to have the maximum number of druid summons onscreen at once and their function is purely to lock the other guy into a block animation. Then you move in deliver the rabies and back out (unless of course you're feeling restless). That's the gist of it and like I said its just an idea i'm kicking around. Equipment would just be whatever you'd use for a good rabies build.
Thoughts?

Wreck the melee builds that tear Wolves apart? That means Smiter and BvB.

Summons give Smiters free Life Tap so that's out. With max Dire Wolf, BvBs will leech all their health back. Summons won't hit the Smiter consistently enough for "block lock". Whirlwind doesn't have a block animation. So... what's this supposed to do again?

In PvP it is'nt effective as verashiden and doppel said, and as you said, it will not be effective in PvM either. So it's not a good idea
