Stupid Website
I was looking around on Battle.net, then I saw one of the spam bot's messages, saying to go to this site for this Mephy bot.
Curious, I went just to see how it was laid out (the website)(now, I know I'll be flamed for trying to be a hacker, but that's not true). Instead, what happens is that the "Can't connect to website" message comes up, but there is a title on the bar of the window... which I figure to be quite queer. Then, afterwards, whenever I tried to download something off the internet, a file called Bnet log or something like that was created every time I tried. Then, it deleted my Windows Media Player, and took away about 170 megabytes of hard drive. Then some stupid program called D2-Hack was running on my computer, and I couldn't detect where it was running from/originated.
So, I system restored to 3 days later (not sure if it worked entirely), reinstalled Windows Media Player (which I think fixed everything)... and I regained those 170 megs, and also, D2-Hack was not running on the computer, and I could download stuff off the internet now. Maybe there's more to it, but I'm not sure, as it was at like 1AM.
Advice to all: Don't even go to hacking websites. It's not worth the hassle of trying to remove the stupid hack that automatically downloads itself to your computer. Sometimes, I wanna kick the balls of the person who created D2-Hack, and any other kind of hack (including Map Hack)
Thanks
