    Stupid Microsoft Word XP Problem

I wanna be able to highlight words and overwrite them but when i do, it jus types before that sentence and pushes the rest in front of it. I cant highlight alot and use backspace either, delete works but its a bit annoying when youre used to the other way..
Can anyone tell me how to make it back to normal please?

Tools -> Options -> Edit Tab.

Select the 'Typing Replaces Selection' checkbox.

    Hope this is it.

After that marijuana thread, I wouldn't have pegged you as a guy with lots of stress in your life. ;)

I love how Office changes its settings to "help" you from time to time . . .

I currently have a bug in my MS Word program that no one in IT can fix for me. The cursor randomly disappears! I type and the letters just appear in sequence, with no indication where the next will appear. If I tab a few times, i have NO IDEA where my typing will commence again, and I also can't tell how to get back to the place I wish to type at because I don't know where I'm starting from! It's completely random. Wierd. Stupid XP. Stupid Office 2003. Stupid Bill Gates and Micro$haft.

It is known that the effects of both marijuana and randomly-changing MS Office preferences can enhance ones' character.

I used to get something similar to this on my old computer. It's not just the word program, but with the other stuffs as well. Luckily, MS made the close box on the top right hand corner so I can kinda guess where to randomly click to close the window.
