Stupid idea ?

Hello

I am trying to build a blizzard sorc but I am doing a lot of solo and not just MF so I need to get an other tree.

This is my first char on ladder so I am really really poor :uhhuh:

Quickly :
str = 70-80
Dex = 0
Vit = rest
Energy = 75

Reason for energy is I AM POOR so I need some.
Same reason to go for vit rather than block ( I dont have a nice shield)

Cold:
Blizzard 20
GS 20
CM 10
other synergy X

Light
usual static, teleport

Fire
Warmth 20
Enchant 20
FM x

I didnt do the math to make sure that I have the points to get to 80-85 so I prefered to used x

The idea is to used my merc a5 to get physical and fire damage against CI
I think that a5 are better than a2 as tank/damage dealer but I am certainly wrong because it is just a thought rather than facts :lol:

Is the merc + enchant strong enough for hell, or I need to find good gear ?

Where to start MF when you start over ?

Any other comments ?

Pure Blizzard Sorc does MF very well. Just stick to Andariel (NM/Hell), Mephisto (Hell), Mausoleum (Hell), Pindle (Hell)

Forget Enchant without maxed FM and maxed Warmth. From the points you have spent and the prerequisites required you will have hard finishing this built before lvl90 ;) lvl 90 = 102 also counting skillpoints you get from quests.

Good hybrid with Blizzard is Fireball/Blizzard or Firewall Blizzard. Find the guides in the Sorceress Guide Library for those. :thumbsup:

Also melee Enchant is only powerful if your Sorc uses it herself since Fire Mastery is applied when cast and when you hit something. Your Merc would only do the extra damage displayed on the skill tree.

Also a Merc DOES NOT need Enchant. He kills very well in Hell without Enchant and some good gear. If you just want to use Enchant to Enchant your merc those 40+ pts are rather wasted.
Single tree Sorceresses usually always have a Merc with them, but dont use Enchant to buff him up.

An untwinked sorc with max-block and base energy is definitely possible.
Early energy problems can be solved by drinking more blues, and with higher levels you'll have higher mana (+2 points per level).
Early block shield can be a simple magic/rare tower shield, with usefull prefix and suffix. It's not that hard to come by with something good enough for the start.

If you really really want to enchant your merc, save the points and use a demonlimb (stick a hel rune in it to make the strength requirement low enough to be usedl)

Do not forget Ancient tunnels in Act 2, great for blizzie sorcs, and it gave me my one and only GREEN SET LAQUARED PLATE :clap: .
