Strongest, most versatile, Pubbie PVP dueller. (BM is OK)

There are a lot of chars if played well and well equiped who can whipe out 95% of pubs but in any case there will be a build wich is a threat.

i expirienced the foowing:

FOHer - nice to kill everything below certain level of experience. better players will still laugh at u after taking tgods and 2 x wisps. Or just tele wwing in your face..

Hammerdins - a better option but inferior to much faster teleporting sorcs and some other builds like windies or maybe both fast tele poison and bone necros. Also any ranged class can be a pain if played well (running to the left and such).

Smiter - one of the taughest chars to duel however gets devasteted by bone necros and hammerdins.

Auradin - a version of a charger has hard times vs high def pallies/barbs and fast tele sorcs.

sorcs - good and fast but can be taken out easily by bvc, ww-sins and cs-zons.

ww barb - one of most versite builds can be deadly for most classes however still rather inferior to smiters who are ennoyingly common nowadays.
Regardless of ww away and around a smart smiter will always have the edge.

windy - solid class will rape all paladin classes and sorcs if they dont run and tele a lot but gets owned by whirlwinding people and maybe bone necros who pierce through your minions.

bone necro - fears bvc, other then that can stand ground against most classes. But needs to rely on variating sorb gear a lot.

I think I'll make 2, FoHer set in stone for sure. Is a full griz set the best thing I could use to slap a bunch of facets into?

Since that will eat up just about all of my wealth, I'm thinking Bone necro for my second, because bone prison has made me vicously angry on many occasions. Now... Would I want to use the bone prison charges off of marrowwalk if I plan on heavily incorporating them into my duel style, or would I be better off maxing a bunch of bone skills for the psynergies? Basically, is lvl 33 Bone prison on charges better than level 20-25ish (dunno endgame gear yet at all) partially synergized? Also, links to guides that could be used for these builds, else I'll look in a bit.

Uh, don't use the charges. You should be maxing all the bone skills (eventually). So with about the standard 15+ to skills or something, it'll be higher slvl. Try the stickies. They have.. a lot of the PvP guides just there.

for bone necro you want to max spear/spirit/teeth/walls/prisons for a maximum of damage.

nice skills for comfortable / bm dueling are amplified dmg (for teaming with phys dmg chars in pubs and tvt), iron maiden (mainly to bm ww barbs: curse + walls spam or BP namelock whirl they r whirling. this is pretty bm though, but you asked for it).
1 on clay golem is obligatory, 1 in golem mastery can be useful as it increases you golem's life immensely, making him more a tank (choose golem mastery only if you go for a high lvl).

decripify and revives are also nice for bming, I suggest to you to get a white rw setup with decrip/vives automod though, it simply costs too many skills to put hard points into those (and thus damage loss).

Well... I'd like to get into the duelling scene, I've always stayed away from it in D2. I'd like something with a high PvP capability against many classes - Not a speciallized dueler. Also, BM is fine, if that still exists.

I was thinking FoHer, because they used to piss me off really really bad. Thats about all I could come up with. I'd really like to be able to piss people off, but I'd like to be able to kill them more. Input would be appreciated.
Foher sux since in NL, everyone abs badly.

Abs is absorb.

Best BM is hammer. Next to that, a trapper is best if you have a partner, or Wind Druids/Smiters.

Druids get abused badly by all manner of assassins, and Smiters have a few bad matches as well. BvCs are nice if you're really good with them and nobody brings a hammerdin of their own... and BvC are great at naked kills.

this discussion seemed to shift quickly from what "the strongest, most versatile" pubbie dueler is, to the most BM dueler...

*rolleyes* that's how it happens... it goes from a slow discussion about what would work best for all around dueling to a full-blown argument over the char that can nk, tg, and bm their way to victory the best. haha, loves it.

=)

It's true though. The strongest dueler is one that doesn't listen to the rules. Unless it has official rules and the guy gets kicked out, at least..

Pub Duel = You gotta be able to BM.

You'd be quite mistaken to think everyone in pubbies are little angels. ;\ So of course BM is included in the conversation. In fact, BM is more of a deciding factor than anything, since it comes down to builds that can gear switch and still be effective overall.

I don't want to NK, because that's pretty dumb. I'm happy with most of the BM discussion, as that's what I'm looking to do - compete with those bm ****ers that are always causing me such a problem.
But... NK is stupid. Just quit/rejoin.

I've decided to go the daydreamer route. Holy Fire/FOH build. 2 sources of dmg that make it difficult stack/sorb (cept for smite and hmrs w/ 37x5/11's). It's got also got a very nice elemental w/ a tad of phys. charge. I'm putting 5 hard pts in Resist Light. The biggest challenge will prolly be bmana es/blizz. I can report back and let you know how it goes.

you can also make a bowazon which kills anything cept for charge and aura or any of those variants.

bowazon is absolute god in tpk, but its very expensive and requires the absolute best of geat and lots of skill and intuition.

I use my Dreamer for bm and he works great at royally pissing people off since i run away from them and wait for the opportunity to get one charge in here and there. when others are really making me angry ill sit to where i can still see the entrance to town and wait for the unlucky person that made me angry to walk outside and get killed by the aura. Once they absorb i find a different character to use. Im thinking if a FoH/smite called a T/V. I am going full FoH and partial smite but since smite works so good alone, i dont think it will be necessary to specialize in it unless its smite vs smite, and then you have the FoH on your side to boot.

So FoH for casters/zons and smite for melee/hammers. charge also works wonders on zons since you can ourtun guided arrows with charge.
For wind druids, i dont know since i have the hardest time with the good windies.
