Hey.

I was wondering which build is stronger, and what are their strengths and weaknesses?

Windy Druid
Bone Nec
Bone/Summon Hybrid

And also, if I want to go to GM dueling, can the Bone/Summon Hybrid be effective without any of his summons?

Ty Mystic. I have decided to go with a Necro.

My next question is:

A bone/summon hybrid would be cool, but..

Would that char be able to do well in pubs without his summons? I would like to have the option of not ALWAYS being a 'BM' char, and I'm pretty sure an amp/IMing summoner shooting bone spells is BM.

If you want a summon/bone hybrid then put 1 pt in revives. 1 pt in amp (for team duels) and max spirit, spear, teeth, prison, rest in wall.
You mon't need revives all the time, but you have the option of using them if you need to. Also, getting minions time after time is boring.

K. And would I want max block with this build? It seems like max block at lvl 90-93ish with Spirit would be a lot of dex. Is it worth it?

Go to Xombies necro guide in the necro forum. Read it. He has some views on max block or vita. Basically, it affects your play-style. Gotta be ultra defensive v's barbs, etc. Its also dependant on your gear selection. If you can't get a fcr nec circlet, then you'll struggle to hit 125fcr with a block build.

I have tried both, I personally prefer max block with stromshield. But I have some nice pnb lifer charms to make up for any lost life due to max block.

Just read your msg properly. Max block with spirit is not an option. If you need spirit to get 125 fcr, then build a vita nec.

That's what I thought. My circlet will either be 2/20/str/mana or res or 2/20/dex/res. I will 20+ PnB lifers. However, I think I will go with Spirit because then I can have the choice of moving out SoJs with sorb rings instead of having immovable FCR rings.

Edit: Of course, I don't really have any DR from anywhere else. 50% D.R. and max block (SS) would be very nice. And also I have a nice >30 dual stat/fcr ring on my mule (obviously Id have to get another good FCR ring).

So its the question of whether I want to be able to handle hits from melee or go against casters better right?

Its actaully very entertaining.

Look, with gear with lots +dex (Sdancers, fcr rings with dex, circ with dex, etc) you wont have to spent loads of stats on dex.

My Necro has 120 dex base (ie put 95 points there) and with items he has maxblock with SS at clvl 89.

Now 95dex = 190 life = ~350 after your own bo. With gear my nec has like 2700 life with full block and max dr (eni + bered ss). You know, you won´t be able to kill ES sorcs even full vita build and I don´t think there is reason not to go maxblock (bowazons and bvc´s were never that easy!).

Of course you should have two setups, I do have even three.

First is wizzy + SS v melees adn bowas.
Second is wizzy + spirit (with possibility of putting sorb rings on)
Third is white 8bs + spirit versus casters with unresistable dmg (ie necros, hammers and occasionally even versus windies).

To sum up, maxblock is definitely worth it.
