    Strength dilemma

Hi all, I have a question, I'm building my first barb on realm, I wanna make WW barb, axe mastery and so on, well, I want to ask a question, is it possible to survive with base strength if I want to use fort in the end, fury zerk, gores, dracs, arreat's, highlords, stormshield, for rings I plan bulcatos's or change them for angelics versus other barbs, plus ammy, so the question is, should I pump strength or I can leave it as it is, I understand that I'll have to use a lot of strength charms.

it would be mighty tough for the first 40 levels, unless you leeching (i suspect)

might have to glitch to get stuff on which i advise aganst, so put like 50 into str atleast

It's not ridiculously hard or anything, you just have to know what to use. Cathan's jewelry is great for +20 in early levels; you can work from there, with a little help from Sigon's gloves.

Never put any points in stats until you know what gear you need to wear. Then do the (trivial) math and figure it out.

oh comon...we all know that unless ur planning to use bp enigma, its impossible to stay at bast str...

unnless ur prepared to keep ur inv full of str charms...
unless ur planning to make fort on normal armour...
    arreats req 110 str...
    SS req 156 str...
    zerkers 130+...

how is this ever gona be possible with base(30?) using fort...even with enigma its gona be difficult as it adds like arnd 60 str @lvl 80+

thats considering ur not upping ur gores/arreats...

    my 2 cents...

oh...and not to forget a perfect stats anni too...

    30+20+60=arnd 110...juz enough for arreats +20=130
    dracs+15=145 to equip zerker...

u can then use a -req SS to equip it...

but thats kinda limiting ur choice of equipment already aint it?
compulsary enigma, -req SS, perfect stat anni  ...

when trying to keep low str, i usually use something like 50 to be safe...

It is absolutely possible to stay at normal strength with using enigma, easy, but my question is, can my barb be versatile with base strengthor it is not possible?

    versatile as in item wise?

as u can see it would require u to use complusary:
    1)enigma( 1 and only choice)
    2)anni
    3)non upped arreats/gores
    4)tonnes of str charms

imho its not versatile at all...

besides u most prolly wont be able to put on that fort which u stated to be one of ur end game armour...

i really do not suggest leaving base str since you want to be versatile. most pple who go base str are usually the casters who usually use light equipment...besides str does add to ur damage dosent it...

with standard and ok equipment, and not inv full of str charms, I would say abt 80 str shld be adequate, which also depends on the kind of armour u choose to make ur fort...

my frenzier has base 80 str and 80 dex and he uses a boneweave fort(158 str req) becuz i got + str from anni(14), draculs(12), 10 from 2 large charms with usefull 2nd mods which gives arnd 110+ so i can use non upped arreats which in turn gives 20 to make it 130+...the final +str comes from dual welding azures which give abt 18 i think...

any more str u wanna put above 80 would depend on what other equipment u wanna wear like kind armour boots etc...

for me, the "breakpoint" to hit for str is somewhere arnd 110 when u can equip arreats, ik gloves/belt...otherwise if ur planning on big armour/weapons, more str is definitely needed...
