Strange Lvl GC

I already posted this in the charms thread in SP, but I wanted to ask here.

Here it is

How is this GC possible? Is a qlvl the same as alvl or ilvl? And how can it be qlvl of 110?

Odd, but true. Here is info from Krono's guide on Charms.
--------------------------------------------------
Vita: +(36-40) Life, ilvl 77
Vita: +(41-45) Life, ilvl 91
Vita: +(46-50 Life, ilvl 110
This prefix is a little misleading. In truth, at ilvl 77 the max +life you can get is +40, and at ilvl 91 +45. +50 is only possible at ilvl 110 according to Arreat Summit, which is of course impossible. Strange people at Blizzard. Anyhaps, this suffix can almost double the value of a good prefix its coupled with, especially a skiller, but isn't really worthwhile on its own, as small charms surpass it.
--------------------------------------------------

So, as you see, the ilvl can be 110, however, the pic you have is flawed in an odd way. Yours says the qlvl is 110, but you have +41 to life, which should have given you 91 instead. According to the Item Generation FAQ on the main Diabloii.net site, qlvl is a fixed number, where as ilvl is the level determined by the monster. I can't quite figure out what all the stuff that you have moded or whatever is though, so maybe its a program flaw of whatever you loaded.

So it's the program I'm running, then.

That's good. Thought I was insane.

Oh,and that's on US East. I'm running the maphack R2D2.

you realize that you will not be able to trade any of your items in the east standard forum now that you said you are using mh

Yeah, I realized... from the other two posts.

And stated I was okay with that, because I'm probably going to leave D2 for another game, probably some PSP ones.

I don't think he's asking where to download it, he just thought you could configure that as part of normal D2 I imagine.

Dude, it's a hack (maphack). Don't install it, they usually include some sort of hidden program that steals your password and sends it back to the person who packaged the program. Besides maphack users risk getting banned from b.net, not to mention shunned here.

I beleive you misread that rule dude.

It says: "do not post link or information regarding hacking warez cheats."

it doesn't say : "do not ask what it is," especially when you dont recognize one.

There's a huge difference, legally speaking.

Next time i suggest you start your sentence with: "it is a hack"

i apologize then...but do go back and read your reply it can be taken differently especially if read with a bit of sarcasm thrown in..."hack ? so its a hack ?" especially since it was made very clear a few posts earlier that the guy was in fact using a hack

my suggestion to you then is before you post a question you read the entire thread

The guy wrote "i'm using maphack R2D2" .. like im suppose to know what/who R2D2 was or that it shows % mf.

is the in-game text bubble a hack to ?

Nope, that's just starting your messages with !.

As in:

! There's a bubble above my head.

This would create a bubble above your head with the words inside of it

I think the fact that it's called maphack is a good clue that it's a hack. Never the less, mf% being displayed is a confirmed feature of maphack, and probably some other hacks as well. If you ever see this figure in a screenshot, you know the user was utilizing a hack. Not a good thing to post around here, as you can tell. Hacking is very disapproved of in any form here, and by Blizzard as well.

a hack to map. The screenshot is showing his character's window.. And i though maphack was only about a hack to the map itself.

Maphack brings much more to the table than that. It shows MF, the items socketed into other items seperately (so that you can see what exactly was socketed), it lets the user view other users equipment/items, it shows the character's base attributes seperately from their actual ones (str/dex/vit/engr), it lets you socket-protect, so you don't accidently socket items,it does also hack the map so you can see it all (it also labels everything on the map), I don't know what the new versions do, but I used to use Maphack, back before I quit. At the time I found it useful, but it sapped the fun out of the game. I guess that may have helped with me quitting.

Now, playing legit, it's more fun.

(that's not to say I wish some of these features weren't standard with D2...the ability to view base attributes easily, view total MF, and view socketables/socketable protect is nice, but they never will add those, and I've accepted that. ;) )
