    Strafer options for PI

    Hi guyz,
i'm fine tuning my first strafer and i have some issues with PI. I'd appreciate some advice on this.

I followed Wmeredith's suggestion and crafted a Wrath Mat Bow but still, i find PI hard to take down. (maybe 15% faster than with standard Faith bow and poison charms) I thought that Decrepify would have a more significant impact on them. I have a sup Mat Bow that i could socket and stick 5 pEmerald in it. I could add another 200 poison dmg over this with charms and that's the big question... would it be more effective than Wrath ? My socket quests are quite precious so i'd like some input before going on this route. I also tried Harmony and Ice in merc bow. At the moment, the Ice Blade Bow is still winner in term of speed. But there's a big counter side, FA + Ice Bow is too mana hungry.

    Gear setup so far:

Guillaume (will eventually go for Giant Skull for knockback)
    Highlords
    CoH
    Ravenfrost
    Manald Heal
Ik Gloves, Belt and Boots (for the 40% fr/w and 25% IAS)

    Any input greatly welcome,
    thanks.

Usual ways to handle PI for zons is give to merc a reapers tool or just use a atmas scarab amu to trigger amplify, it can remove imunities too.

Strafe with Atma's Scarab, it's definitely better than Reaper:thumbsup:.
But sooner or later, you will encounter a PI monster whose PI cannot be removed by Decrepify or even Amplify Damage.
If you cannot cold arrow/fire arrow for a long time or you just don't like drinking blue potions, you can try magic arrow with a fast bow or a high damage bow or a bow with big elemental/magical damage.
It will not take you too much time as long as you don't solo in a 8-player game.
The final option is to run away.

Yeah i'm sorry if i may have sounded picky about this.
After more intensive test, i found out Wrath to be quit good exept for some super uniques PI, sometimes (especially Specter in Arcane). I've found out a quite effective setup by giving Rogue merc an Ice bow and me using wrath. I've added some more poison charm over this. I really like the mods of Highlords so Atmas isn't very appealing to me even if it's the best thing out there.

I'll try different setup over time. Thanks for your input.

Just swap the ammies when you find a PI. Trust me when I tell you Atmas is amazing for how often you will be lighting up everything with amp dmg (+100% physical dmg is a lot for a zon). That mod alone is worth sacrificing your highlords wrath for.

try magic arrow also -- wont be quick, but it will work even if you dont have anymore than 1 hard point in that skill

only problem with atmas for will be the overwrite of decrepify

^^^^ magic arrow. Decripify > Ampilfy damage, not by much though.

I've tried MA and it's slower than FA (one pts in each). My concern weren't about the killing but the killing speed.

One setup i'd like to test is Harmony + Atmas but the elemental dmg on wrath is bigger than harmony so i doubt it'll be faster. Or still, i could test that 5 pEmerald mat bow + atmas.

Atma's Scarab casts AmpDmg which is for Physical dmg only. Faith + Fort + Atma's = <3

Amp Dmg is better than Decrep IMO. Decrep may slow enemy and reduce his dmg but Amp gives twice the dmg bonus that decrep does and dmg is king.
