    Stop expiring characters

One thing I hate about Diablo 2 is the fact that your characters are gone if you don't log on every 60? days to refresh them.

You can spend months making the char, and then it's years of remembering to refresh it if you don't want it gone.

They should provide some mechanism - maybe a limited number of slots, a service you pay for - to let the chars stay active.

They will never alter Diablo 2 access as it stands now, meaning you'll never have a premium option for it. Each character has ninety days from last use to be re-used before Battle.net deletes it from the server.

...and yes, most of us who've played for years constantly reset non-ladder characters. I currently have responsibility of forty total accounts, ten LS3 accounts and three shared with RuST from LS2.

It's 60 days? I thought it was 90 days. I should check on my account.

I think it is 90, but it is only after 30 days (in which you do not use the character) that a counter with 60 (counting down:wink3: ) will appear.

I doubt many people would be on D2 if you had to pay to keep your chars active. Doesn't take long to log on, and play a couple minutes.

If the charactors expire then you should take your time and spend it on something productive.

The expiring thing is annoying, but is necessary in some way, so that they can save memory. Also, when someone is banned, the account and the characters are not deleted, only blocked until they expire. What if they never expired? Battle.net would be overloaded with banned accounts and characters...

I never really had any problem with expiring characters.

How unfortunate.. I would tell myself to keep track of my own gear.

That's how I would think of it too..

One added annoyance is the way if you just refresh the chars, after 4 or 5 you can't log in anymore for a while.

To respond to those saying Blizzard needs to free the space, only some people would pay for this, and the money would pay for the space.

To respond to the person saying many would not pay for it - that's fine, this is an extra choice, not affecting those who like it how it works currently.

As for banned accounts - they'd continue to expire.

Related issue: they should let people pay to restore chars that expired.
