sticky/thread for advice on runeword creation?

Can someone point me to a sticky or thread, if there is one, on the optimal items for runeword creation - eg what are the best base items and alternatives for Beast, Insight, CoH, etc?

    Thanks!

Don't know about stickies but this is what i usually see,

Beast - Ettin Axe, Berserker Axe...
Insight - Cryptic Axe, Thresher, Colossous Vougle...
    CoH - Duskshroud, ArchonPlate...
Egnima - Mageplate, ArchonPlate, sacred Amour..
Inifinity - Cryptic Axe, Colossous Vougle, Thresher...

Getting Enhanced Damage or Defense surely is better,,
Getting Etheral or not depends on the way you are using
Getting the quality of the item u want to rune it with depends on yourself too, like i hold a twin axe beast for my necro. and a Poleaxe infinity for my Sorc.

It all dependss on what you need it for ./

Have a read of that. It's from the SPF and we're tight with our runewords, but there's some interesting discussion going on.

For Infinity I went Thresher. I wanted to use it on the merc and on characters so eth wasn't an option. In the end speed/damage/lowish requirements won.

But yes, it does depend on what you want.
