I've started plenty of new characters, but never bothered with deleting my old ones. I usually feel an urge to play my old SP characters for a while after they've lain dormant for a while.
BTW, I just today started a MF Hammerdin. We should play together sometime

i just quit playing characters, and start a new atma stash when i want to start over, because i know that eventually id get the urge to play that character again

It can be very fun restarting from nothing. I think you ought do it. I have been thinking of starting builds with zero item twinks.
One thing you might want to consider though is giving away your items in the giveaway thread or submit them to the spf giveaway. It would be better than deleting them. :thumbsup:

I'm a greedy SOB, so i'm all about being on the receiving end of giveaways. That said, are you sure you want to give everything away? Why not just back up your files and then keep them, i dunno, in your closet or something That way you can have your cake and, er, not eat it too!

I did this about.... 12 days ago.
Threw all of my stuff into a giveaway, even those on my chars, and started fresh. You gotta love the feeling. :lol:
I also deleted all of my chars under lvl50, that left me with my Sorc, Zon and Barb. Those I kept for sentimental reasons. :uhhuh:
You may ask, why didn't you just keep your old chars and make new ones? Well, that's just not the way I do things.
My first fresh character is a fishymancer, since I never played a necro further than norm act V, I decided to give it a try. This is going to be my first 1.10 Pat. After 12 days (actually 11) of playing, I'm in Hell Act 1. Just killed Baal last night.
Again, Why?
I got bored of my old chars since they were all pretty much messed up after the 1.10, FO/Nova Sorc with almost nothing in vit..... *shiver. That was my second character I ever played, started it somewhere in the times of D2C. I remember going through NM Act2 with only cold tree spells (and a staff in my hands). When I get to Duriel I find him....Cold Immune. Of course I had no chance what so ever defeating him since I wasn't the merc using type. But since I had taken the Energy Shield (prereg Lightning) I had to try. After a very long battle I won.....with level 1 Lightning. After that I decided to start taking skills into the Lightning Tree.
As you can see that kind of chars are not the best to play 1.10 with. My old chars included also a LF/PJ Zon (still kicking ***), a WW/Conc Barb (not kicking ***), a MA Sin (not kicking...), a Bone/Poisonmancer (maybe slapping), a Zealot, a Bowazon and a Fire/Cold Sorc.
I don't know what all this has to do with this thread. But still I'm happy to get this off my heart.
Now that I have found a Vipermagi, a Wormskull, Manald Heal, Rare Tele Ammy and a Mosers Pledge with my Fishymancer playing D2 feels more fun than ever before! I strongly recommend for everyone!
