Worst of all it tried to do a continual story, and because it was complicated/boring/crap you just didnt bother to watch it once you'd missed an episode.

this was the problem with the show, heck, this is the problem with virtually all tv drama today, stupid continuity

and the odd/even thing is untrue as dondrei said, you really out yourself as a non-trekkie whenever you bring that up
