Staff instead of weapon/shield viable? Do you think a sorc using a staff would be viable in hell? I know I could really use the +5 skills on Mang Song's Lesson. However, I would be facing other troubles like not having fcr possibly resitances, or even blocking as good as a orb/shield! By viable, I mostly mean can use as often as orb/shield. My original plan was to make a solid blizzard sorc using Ondal's to level, while using say a wizardspike and double PDiamond moser's. I wanted to use SS, but it is a little extreme to dump all those points into str/dex. My friend made a meteorb sorc with SS and wizardspike as main mostly for mephing purposes. It works great too, but then again moat trick isn't too hard to pull off. I do like the 35 PDR but it isn't required for a sorc I know. So my main question is, would it be worth it to try and use a staff for the +1 skill extra, or to sacrifice that for blocking power?
