Stacking against sorcs

Heh, just noticed the Xmas smilies.
Anyway - I figured that against lit/fire sorcs all you need is wizzy + arreat/kiara and you are good to go.
But against decent cold sorc you have to get around 405(that's with no facet iirc).
So thul'd Kiara + 4x saph shiled + 60 % nat resist = 320.
Lets say you have good fcr rings with 25 cr each - your'e still way off.
Also, I made top gear/charms bvc on single (all vita) and got only 7k life.
What did I missed? (don't count anya) :xflash:

ur gonna have to ask mcm on this one,

he tanked 4 x 14k blizzards when he dueled me and that hardly even got him down to like 2/3's.

east has ~40 CR boots with other nice mods (one of the duped boots)
also:
30 maras (and +2 for NR)
30 trangs
10+ CR scs
thawing pots

Personally I just use 2 ravens so I can take 3-7 hits depending on their damage.
Desynced whirls seem to take bliz sorcs out easily.

I didn't died to any of them, I was just wondering.
I'm on ladder so I don't think those boots are an option.
Thanks for the input

its not hard to find rare boots with similar stats as the massly duped versions either

True, it wouldnt be hard.
Actually my question was supposed to be how to stack enough resist with minimum sacrifice - there are some things like highlords that might be worth keeping.
Beside, Kira's might be bad idea for the simple reason that you want to stay frozen for the double hits.

but if you're frozen then your cast rate (tele) goes down a lot.

if you're not tele'ing anyways then strap on coh.

if you really don't want to be frozen, grab a veil of steel.

my suggestion for a 'silence' weapon still stands.

Cast rate is not effected by being frozen, only swing speed and movement speed.

Heh heh, yeah. I just logged in to check and make sure, and can verify that being frozen doesn't effect cast speed.

You could try creating a virtual drive on your system and making an .iso of your game disc, then mount the image to the drive. That's what I did with mine; it really decreases the laggy situations caused by the game reading data from the disc, since HD read times are many, many times faster than CD/DVD drive read speeds.
