Well, ad-aware from www.lavasoft.de will get rid of any spyware you've got on your computer.

I've gotten those popups too. They don't necessarily mean you actually have spyware on your computer, it's just what the popup ad says in order to get you to buy their stuff.

When you visit a website, it will automatically install spyware onto your computer. Not all websites do it, just some.

This is how you do it. Grab Spyware by his shirt collar...then...quickly KILL IT IN ITS FACE!

Websites that carry pornographic material, or websites for casinos.

Yay, my teachers will be proud. I used "pornographic material" in a sentence!

To hell with AdWare. Get Spybot S&D. It's saved my sorry *** a couple of times, and it gets stuff that AdWare doesn't, plus it's completely free.

Oh, and some of the ads on this board try to put tracking cookies on your computer. Nothing that will cause pop-ups, but still stuff none the less.
