**SPOILER** Revenge of the Sith Novelization

The final chapter of the Revenge of the Sith novelization has been leaked onto the internet. I can't post links, since they'd be to forums and thus against forum rules, but perhaps I can just post the content.

DO NOT READ FURTHER unless you want to ruin the surprise. I already pretty much know what's going to happen, judged on the original trilogy, but suffice it to say that based upon the script, this will be best, most emotional, most exciting, most dramatic, most action-packed movie of EITHER trilogy. Yep, I think this one will not only not suck as the others did, this one will be even better than any of the originals. Here's the snippet that I found intriguing at the end:

Yoda reflects aboard the medical facility in Polis Massa.

Yoda : My failure, this was. Failed the Jedi, I did.

Qui-Gon (through the Force) : Do not blame yourself, my old friend.

Yoda : Too old I was. Too rigid. Too arrogant to see that the old way is not the only way. These Jedi, I trained to become the Jedi who had trained me, long centuries ago - but those ancient Jedi, of a different time they were. Changed, has the galaxy. Changed, the Order did not - because let it change, I did not.

Qui-Gon : More easily said than done, my friend.

Yoda : An infinite mystery is the Force. Much to learn, there still is.

Qui-Gon : And you will have time to learn it.

Yoda : Infinite knowledge... Infinite time, does that require.

Qui-Gon : With my help, you can learn to join with the Force, yet retain conciousness. You can join your light to it forever. Perhaps, in time, even your physical self.

    Yoda : Eternal life...

Qui-Gon : The ultimate goal of the Sith, yet they can never achieve it; it comes only by the release of the self, not the exaltation of self. It comes through compassion, not greed. Love is the answer to the darkness.

Yoda : Become one with the Force, yet influence still to have... A power greater than all, that is.

Qui-Gon : It cannot be granted; it can only be taught. It is yours to learn, if you wish it.

Yoda : A very great Jedi Master you have become, Qui-Gon Jinn. A very great Jedi Master you always were, but too blind I was to see it.

Yoda stands, folds his hands before him and inclines his head in the Jedi bow of respect.

Yoda : Your apprentice, I gratefully become.

And then, this is how Anakin becomes Vader:

"Obi-Wan dives into a forward roll that ends up with him on the rim of a low cliff, just above the soft black sand of a lava riverbank.

Anakin snarls at Obi-Wan, realising he has been tricked. He leaps off his droid at Obi-Wan's back but is half a second too slow.

Obi-Wan whirls to parry Anakin, but his saber doesn't meet Anakin's blade. Instead, he slices off Anakin's leg at the knee. Then he slices of the other leg at the knee. And while Anakin is still in the air, Obi-Wan uses his blade to slice off Anakin's left arm above the elbow. He steps back as Anakin falls.

Anakin drops his lightsaber, clawing at the edge of the cliff with his mechanical hand, but his grip becomes too powerful for the lava bank and the edge crumbles, and he slides down onto the black sand.

His severed legs and his severed arm rolls into the lava below him and immediately burns.

Anakin claws at the soft black sand, but his struggling only makes him slip farther. The sand itself is hot; digging his mechanical arm into it burns off his glove, and his robes begin to smolder.

Obi-Wan picks up Anakin's lightsaber. He lifts his own as well and weighs them in his hands. Anakin had based his design upon Obi-Wan's and thus they appear very similar.

"Obi-Wan..." pleads Vader from the riverbank. Kenobi looks down. Vader's jedi robes burn while his hair is blackened.

"You were the chosen one! It was said you would destroy The Sith, not join them. It was you who would bring balance to The Force, not leave it in darkness. You were my brother, Anakin," says Obi-Wan. "I loved you, but I could not save you."

Above in the sky, Obi-Wan sees a Theta-Class shuttle entering the atmosphere.

Suddenly, Darth Vader bursts into flame.

"I hate you" screams Vader. Obi-Wan Kenobi turns, not wanting to go against the Jedi Code and murder, walks away. "

More coming if this sparks any interest...

    I don't believe it.

Why is the first section written like a script, and the second a novel?

I believe you have been duped, and this is a clever essay from some one who watched the trailer to many times and wrote what he thought he saw.

I have read the novels from the previous 2 movies, and the style is off.

Because they were written up by people that were reading it, not written word for word. I also got them from different sources, one of which was listening to the book on tape, the other of which was reading the book. Sorry if that was confusing, but I guarantee they're legit. Lots of people are coming forward because apparently Wal-Mart shipped them early, and the "last chapter" was actually scanned and posted online, so I know it's legit.

    Spoiled

I'm afraid the Dark Side has clouded your mind, dirk. This is merely rumor, not actual movie fact. It is only a likely possibility, nothing more. Your use of the word "apparently" implies that you do not know for a fact that Wal-Mart shipped the novels early. More to the point, if this had happened, the media would have mentioned it. Lucas would be livid, and he'd try to punish those parties involved, causing more media exposure. As none of that has happened, I doubt the veracity of the websites you visited on this matter.

The two most trusted star wars fan sites on the web. The administrators and moderators are even posting lines from the audiobooks in the forums, and many of them are insiders to lucasfilm. They weren't supposedly coming out until April 2, but I guess no one's mad about this for some reason, because they're out, and they're out in numbers. There are many people here that visit theforce.net, I've seen it referenced several times on these forums, they can attest to it's legitimacy and validity. If it's on those forums, its legit; they're the most rabid star wars fans in the world.
I am *NOT* wrong about this, I've seen the scans of the book pages, I know for a fact these are legit. While its true that these exact lines might not be in the movie, since the books aren't always exactly the same as the movie, it's about as close as reading a LOTR book to find out about the movie; probably much closer, actually, since the script of the movie was used to write the novelization.

    The Sith shall rise again!

If events transpire as you have foreseen, then I will humbly and vociferously apologize. If events take on a new path, well, then I'll gloat but not until then. Only a Sith Lord would gloat before victory was achieved.

haha, well if you want to see more, just visit those sites... milleniumfalcon.com has the spoilers on its front page, but theforce.net you might have to visit their forums...
either way, most of the information was known already, just the specifics weren't yet, so that might be why Lucas didn't care. His hyperspace thingie has already wrecked the movie for those that wanted it wrecked.

    cartoon network?

    The Dark Side clouds all

Blinded was I, by the Dark Side. Saw not the truth. Apologize, do I.

I just bought the book and the two passages quoted by dirkdig were word for word from that book. However, it remains to be seen whether the movie will follow the book completely (I imagine it will be very close but sometimes books don't include all aspects of the movie...I am reminded of the time I went to see Mortal Kombat and was surprised to see the Reptile fight scene because I had read the book and that wasn't in there at all; in fact, he died after getting thrown into the statue).

So, I haven't read it, but it sounds like you have necrolestes.
Can I get your honest opinion of the novel? A lot of people I've talked to have said that they didn't find Anakin's turn to be believable. What's your take on this?

    Novel idea

It seemed a little forced, if you'll pardon the pun. It is believable, though, if you take into context the conflict in Anakin's mind (should I trust the Jedi, who use me as a tool, or Palpatine, who seems to genuinely care about me but opposes the Jedi who are still my friends?) and you can see how Palpatine convinced him that the Jedi were the enemy. The book required you to see the cartoon series first (mentions of Ventress were rampant and without the cartoons, you'd have no idea who she was and why she was important at all) to really understand it (though there is another book that does address this).
