Splinter Cell:Conviction, epic changing?
Conviction used to be about an open(ish) world were it was basically modern Assassin's Creed, I think (and hope) that maybe they threw this idea away, and went back to it's stealth action routes.
To me, this seems like the best course of actions, as they could throw a Batman twist on it, with him being the good guy called a bad-guy doing good things using fear as a game mechanic. They tryed fear to some degree in Chaos Theory, but it was mostly just the sounds they made that made them sound scared. As they were very VERY trigger happy at that point.
I mean, don't you think it would be cool making the enemy actually piss their pants in fear? They did that in the books, they could probally do that with the Next-Gen abilitys at this point in time.
In terms of story, it would make more sense if they did it that way, because in the books, Sam goes through a simillar situation were he still has some contact with Mrs.Lady who's name I forget to help him. So, instead of having an Assassin's Creed knock off they could actually have it as Splinter-Cell, double agent didn't cut it for me because there were no actually dark places what-so-ever. You don't need night vision at all in it.
