Spirit forge linked mail: best armor for a speed/dex-a-zon?

IS not the BEST armor for a strafer one that has IAS on it? If so, then would not the Spirit forge linked mail be the best armor?

Consider:

Defense: 380-449 (varies)(Base Defense: 158-172)
Required Level: 35
Required Strength: 74
Durability: 26
+120-160% Enhanced Defense (varies)
+ (1.25 Per Character Level) ----> strafers need this if they are a speed/dex-a-zon since all go into dex ( base life)
Fire Resist +5%
Adds 20-65 Fire Damage
+15 To Strength ----->> nice mod as it helps save points for dex
Gem Sockets (2) -->>The REAL PRIZE HERE! socket with 2 nice 15% IAS jewels that have a tasty 2nd mod.
+4 To Light Radius


The only other armor that gives great 2nd mods in addition to IAS (45%) is treachery ( fade & venom)

not if you dont need it to reach your fastest breakpoint. fort doesnt have any ias and lots of people use it. i'd rather use twitchthroe than the armor you mentioned. yes, i've used it before and it's a hunk-a-hunk of burning crap.

also in reguards to only 2 armors with ias there's twitchthroe and crow caw.

PLUS any unique armor can get one socket, this only has one more than that. some rares would top that pos.

oh, so Spirit Forge armor is not that good after all????

I was just wondering before I invest in teh jewels & stick em in teh forge armor.

best use i ever got out of it was for a merc. i put pame in it to increase the amount of str it gave.

i say use it if you find nothing better, but dont waste good jewels in it. also dont forget it is a "medium" armor so it'll slow your r/w speed (something i find disgraceful in a zon armor).

If you need the speed on armour I would say go with the Treachery
