    SPF Strikes Back!

After viewing the "Ever Played On Realms?" thread I had an idea.

Since many immoral duping, asking for hack players (plz forgive me for that butchery of the english lang) that maybe we should hit back.

Maybe, juist maybe we can get together a group of untwinked USEast players. We'd play through the entire game, in private games. All of us would wear SPF-Name on our chars and in our profiles write "SPF Strikes Back".

I know a lot of you depside the realms so much, but it maybe this would be fun. And at the end we would all delete them :).

    I'm game.

Although no one would ever know about it on the realms unless we actually got ranked on the ladder (lowest is 94 overall currently) or joined a public channel.

    But oh well, there loss.

We could ask everyone for lots of hacks and rushbots and ITH weapon production techniques and stuff, and when they complained about our cheating ways, we could say: "So what? It's just the realms anyway, and we just want to practice for when we play for real on SP. It doesn't affect your game."

Seriously though, if we start the "SPF Field Trip Group" or whatever I'll be a part of it. I imagine this involves exchanging online IDs so we can buzz each other, or whatever it is those realms people are always doing to get in touch and set up games.

I must admit that I have great respect for many people who frequent this forum, but this attitude against the realms is something I never understood. As a member of both worlds I can clearly say that you find decent and friendly people in any community, and I have met dozens of people I enjoy playing with on USeast as well as here in the forums - I can remember having great fun with a regular TCP/IP game (1.07 classic every sunday) which was born in this forum.

Of course there are idiots out there - but that does not mean everybody on the realms is rude, stupid and engaged in hacking or duping ( not every Italian is lazy, nor every Pole a thief, nor every blonde dumb - I think you get the point here).

If you really fancy playing on the realms, I would be happy to join you in a game since all people I played with from the SPF were highly skilled players and always a good team which is a guarantee for a fun game most of the time. But I wish it would be in a relaxed manner and not "to hit back", whatever that was meant to be.

This is a cool idea. I'd be more than happy to participate. It would be very nice to have more companions then a merc in games. Cheers!

    Please don't do that.

I'm proud to be in SPF but I'm not proud on putting others down.

That's why I've joined here, because I found that I can play as I like and no jerk is putting me down.

If we start to put others down we are no better than them.

And if that happens I will sadly withdraw from this community.

"The walrus, Paul. You are the Walrus."

Gotta love Beatles myths. I do believe it is a walrus skull however. But if I'm wrong, its his fault.

Thought it looked decidedly walrus-like, too. Though with Durf, one should rarely be certain. ;) :D

Like a very good friend of mine said:

Hey if we're going to have an SPF Field Trip to the Realms, why not make a tourney out of it - the objective is that we have to collect (by screenshots) the most number of item requests from the realms denizens or have an INVERSE MFO - the SPFer who collects the most hacked items in a week by begging wins.

My avatar is a walrus of doom. I use it to smite my enemies. Details here.

Linkato1: Don't worry, we aren't doing this to be mean. We're just going to be mean to online people is all. There's no trick to it, it's just a simple trick! ;)

I agree. If we don't want them to come here and make fun of us why should we do the same to them?
