Spectear's 2011 ISO/FT and 2v2 DII Tournament
Welcome to my thread. Feel free to glance at what will be an updated/updating ISO/FT as well as information on my upcoming 2v2 tournament!
As always feel free to negotiate or lowball any prices. The worst thing that will happen is that I will say no and we can further barter from there.
ISO
25+ Life PNB GC's (paying 1-5 HR's for these depending on the life).
Necro/Druid Circlets (must have 2 skill and 20 FCR anything else is gravy) these are worth a lot so just name your price or I will offer depending on stats.
Necro/Druid FCR Ammy's (must have either 15+ or 18+ FCR depending on the class and of course 2 skill) sorry but I cannot except any Ammy lower than the above FCR ratings.
Pgems/Runes (basic currency is always good).
---
FT
20-14 Shaeled Griffon's (I originally bought this at 7 HR's but that price is pretty excessive now so I am willing to just take offers on this)
Anni's
The bin on each is a Jah or Ber. I am also curious to get opinions on how much players value unid Anni's. If you could get an unid Anni for a Jah/Ber would you rather get one of those or one of the high stat low res Anni's below? I would assume most would prefer unid Anni's. More on this later.
19-11-7
19-11-8
19-10-7
Stuff
Low Titans
Raven
Wisp
Highlord
I can get more detailed statistics in case anyone is interested. The rest can go for anywhere from 1-8 pgems in most cases.

Tournament
Without entertaining the chance to get this thread locked and hopefully not moved as it is also a trade thread I would like to propose a tournament that I very lightly hinted at with the last almost DII community event. Since that never quite got off the ground I am hoping to organize something a little easier.
I mostly want to gauge interest right now and if it looks like we can at least get 4-8 teams together I will host the tournament. If anyone has any opinions feel free to voice them.

Rules for Entry
You must be a DII forum member with a join date prior to June 2011 or you can speak to me on this thread if you are interested and only joined this month and I will make individual exceptions.
If you have a join date prior to January 2011 and at least 10 trade rating you are allowed to bring your own friend outside of DII to the tournament as your partner. Otherwise I will have a list of all solo DII members who can choose to be thrown into the random pool and assigned another forum member based on their time zone. I also think this would be a great time for community members to buddy up with anyone they have previously traded with or simply enjoy communicating with.
I will update this portion as needed but I think this is fairly clear and as always I have the final say on who is or is not allowed to participate. I am trying to be more flexible than not while still making this a tournament for the forum members of this and only this Diablo 2 community.

Tournament Bracketing
I was trying to think of the best format that would allow everyone to play against as many teams as possible while still making it easy to setup and have some semblance of balance to the tournament. For now I am leaning towards a double elimination style tournament or possibly a round-robin style tournament. Matches will be best out of 3 or possibly 5 and if a team loses a match they will go down towards the loser bracket. Let me show you an example using a tournament with 8 teams (if you are already familiar with double elimination tournament variants feel free to skip this).
Team 1 vs Team 2.
Team 3 vs Team 4.
Team 5 vs Team 6.
Team 7 vs Team 8.
Say all the odd teams win their best of X games.
Winner Bracket
Team 1 vs Team 3.
Team 5 vs Team 7.
Loser Bracket
Team 2 vs Team 4.
Team 6 vs Team 8.
This would continue until one team is left undefeated. This also gives a chance for losers from the Loser Bracket to potentially win the tournament even after being knocked down in a match as long as they come back and win the following matches. This is also faster than round robin.

Rules of the Tournament
I wanted to keep this as simple as possible while still being fair to all players. Matches will be played in Hell and I am implementing a level cap of 89 or below for all characters. I am not going to ban specific gear but I will ban general absorbing (sorbing) to the point that you cannot be harmed by any one element. In addition I would like outside buffs and prebuffing to be brought down to a minimum so you are only allowed your base inventory and weapon swap in the tournament. Rules bulleted below and as always I reserve the right to change these based on suggestions.
Only one type of Absorb OR Maximum Resist per ELEMENT allowed. This means if you have a Guardian Angel you are not allowed any other type of Absorb or Maximum Resist gear on any part of your character. This is again to prevent players from going to town to swap out a few pieces simply to deal with a particular team setup. In 2v2 this is much harder to do anyway since you will have to deal with two different sources of damage but it is still cheap and unfair play.
No prebuffing our outside buffs beyond what you have in your inventory and weapon swap. If you have a CTA you can buff BO with it but you cannot say go and grab a CTA for BO while swapping all of your GC's out for a Venom or ES prebuff while also throwing on an Oak Sage or Revives and than doing a gear swap. You can only use what you have on your character when you step into the Blood Moor in order to fight. I doubt most players would go through this kind of trouble to get an edge in a casual tournament but I am a stickler for rules and details.
Some more basic and accepted rules of dueling here. No health or rejuv pots at all. Replenish Life on items is fine as are as many mana pots as you can carry and feel free to drop some in the Blood Moor if you feel you may run out during the course of a match. No leaving the Blood Moor in any way including going back to Rogue Encampment, Den of Evil, or Cold Plains. You can only leave and heal/restock on mana pots after one team is completely eliminated.
Since I would like this to be an interesting tournament I am not banning any potential builds even if they could circumvent my above rules (for example a Medic). I may change this prior to the tournament starting but really I just want everyone to get together and have a bit of fun.

Prizes
Ah the part everyone wants to hear about! I am not sure if everyone would be happier with a Jah/Ber of their choice or perhaps just an Unid Anni. I am leaning towards the Anni these days since I think most players could use one and it makes it a bit harder for a player who is only playing for the prize to sell off compared to a Jah/Ber.
Most of all I want everyone in the tournament to have fun playing and encourage participation from all community members and not just those that are geared to the teeth for PvP. With this in mind I plan to give a prize for the top 10%-30% of teams which should translate into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I am ALSO going to give every single participant regardless of placement in the overall tournament a small gift of either a Jah/Ber or an Unid Anni (most likely the Anni since I feel that's what I wish to settle on and proceed to trade for en masse if this gets off the ground). The additional prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be determined by me depending on how many teams we get but it will likely be at least an additional 2-3 HR's or Anni's each with something special for 1st place.

Scheduling
This is easily the toughest part which is why I want most matches to be fairly quick since meeting up (especially with time zone issues) is always the hardest part of any tournament. I will try to start the brackets off based on time zones and I was thinking of giving everyone a one week time period to work with me to schedule their upcoming match for the week. A minimum of 5 players will be in every game unless I cannot make a match in which case both teams will have to agree to play at a time themselves but I will do my best to organize all matches. If you are free during the time of another team's match you are welcome to watch their match if there is room. I expect no more than 8 pairs playing in this tournament just based on the population of this forum which means you can expect to play between 2-5 matches at most. Hopefully this is not too much of a time commitment for most players.
---
Please if you have any comments or interest post below. For any participants if you meet my requirements post with your account name preferred time slots in which to play your matches and if you will be bringing an outside friend/partner or if you wish to be placed in the solo pool for randomly assigned matching. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to look this over before responding but in case you did not see below.
---
TLDR: 2v2 tournament, double elimination, post if you wish to bring your own teammate or be dropped into a random pool for partner assignment. Anyone should enter prizes for all participants.
