Spam hosting and connection problems

Okay, i went to www.diabloworld.tk because i was stupid and curious. what happens is that something gets downloaded and your computer becomes a spam host in the chat channels. i thought i solved the problem but it didnt help.

i uninstalled removed all folders and deleted them and reinstalled and no good. still spammed. can anyone help me?

I use c3po, maybe this is the culprit?

**edit** ive uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times because i couldnt connect to bnet for a very long time. iused my keys and a friends cd keys, i still couldnt connecct. my friends who live 5 feet away from me can connect. i dont know what the problem is. i think its a file thats preventing me from logging on someone please help me.

You've probably been banned for spamming, reinstall windows at least 2 times (this means deleting everything you hold dear, or you can just roll back (windows xp only i think) to at least a week before. if you are banned just call up a bnet rep and explain what happened nice and calm

This really shouldn't be necessary. Run a virus scan and a trojan scan (Trojan hunter is free and works, google for it.) Then reinstall D2 again.

Also consider that your account may have been banned, either temporarily or permanently. Give it a day or two and try again. (After your scans and reinstall of course. In that order!)

yeah ive scanned, use trojan hunter, adaware, hijackthis, spybot search and destroy and found nothing. this is before i reinstalled. I really do think i got banned because of spamming. but i dont know how im still banned because i used multiple cd keys. im going to talk to a blizzard Op and if that doesnt work, ill reformat. thx

It could be your account thats banned, so it wouldn't work no matter what cd key you use. Luckily account bans are usually temporary, so give it time.

well i dont know how the account can be banned. I never get to even connect to battle net for me to choose an account and type in a password. When i load d2, i got to Battle.net and it just gets to Connecting to Fastest server and then gives me the cannot connect screen

Ok that is weird, check your firewall settings if you have one, also download the patch and install it if you haven't done that yet.

Furthermore, if you can still edit it, take the link out of your first post.

They have probably ban your IP, did you try removing all your third party software and connect without them? May be those are the problems. What type of internet connection you have? Do you have a static ip?

i went to that site recently just to check it out. but i didn't have anything dled. i was using opera, not internet explorer, so that might affect it. but, when i restarted my computer my trojan scanner found something, but i deleted it.
