    Sound mixing thing HELP Please!

I'm looking for a good Windows-based program that can let me record my voice and other stuff with a mic and also add in effects like bypassing cars and stuff. I need it to let me overlap voices, sounds, add effects etc... so that i can burn it onto a CD as one .wav file and listen to it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

well.. if you have a soundcard, it should have some software that comes with it you can record with. If not.. Wavestudio works for recordings.. umm... Soundforge as well (Soundforge is an all around great audio software anyways). As far as the overlapping and such... Adobe Premiere would work, im pretty sure you can export a timeline as a .wav - i'd have to check on that tho. You should be able to do that with Soundforge too.. i dont know how so maybe you can't.. but i haven't messed with that aspect of it yet.

Hrm, okay, I searched a little and it appears AVS Audio Utilities is popular. Has anyone tried it?

Does anyone have any other programs to share?

Soundforge is nice, but thier is alsways better:

Try WaveLab 4.01b by Stienberg, Soundforge is a toy comparing to this software.

Also as I see you need some Plug-ins: All Waves Release 4.0 by Waves

    This is the best.

You can find these products only on p2p or you can bye them for a cople of thousends

Well, which one is simpler to use. I just need something that will let me record my voice, add some effects and overlap the voices and effects together.

Soundforge should be able to, and it's easy to use.... you'll have to look into the overlapping thing tho.. i've yet to try that with it so im not sure if it does it.
