Songs of the Week (9/18/06): Just press 2 for a while.

As of the addition of TV on the Radio's "Return ot Cookie Mountain" to my iTunes collection, I now have 2,222 songs in my digital possession. Which leads me into a sticky situation: Do I add more music, or do I bask in my number-coded glory for a while? As for the songs that will be getting me through this week:

Steely Dan - Reelin' in the Years (New rule: If you don't like this song, then you aren't very smart)
Steely Dan - My Old School (Ditt-to)
Yo La Tengo - Daphnia (I've played this song 20 times now. It is 8 and a half minutes long)
Yo La Tengo - Beanbag Chair (The album, FYI, is called "I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your ***")
The Album Leaf - The Light
The Album Leaf - Red Eye (Lotta new music this week; just made a Virgin Records Run)
TV on the Radio - Province
TV on the Radio - I Was a Lover
    Junior Boys - Bellona
    Junior Boys - Last Exit
    Boy Kill Boy - Suzie
Ashley Parker Angel - Let U Go (I do what I want)
    Cursive - At Conception

    Ee tee see.

not that I'm a huge fan of pupular music, but the new song by Hinder, Lips of and Angel, kicks arse.

Ok, I've gotten on this huge Alkaline Trio kick lately, with songs from Goddammit through Crimson stuck in my head. I'll just list a few:

    Alkaline Trio - Sadie
    Alkaline Trio - Mr. Chainsaw
Alkaline Trio - We've Had Enough
    Alkaline Trio - Clavicle
    Alkaline Trio - Deathbed
    Alkaline Trio - Donner Party
Alkaline Trio - All in Black
    Alkaline Trio - You're Dead

I don't know what brought it on, but it's all I can listen to right now.

I'd wait until Xmas, the recent updates aren't enough for the shopping systems.

My list is pretty much everything Weezer has ever recorded(minus the last album), McLucky, and Cake.

Orchestra project's put me in a weird mood. Assorted Gregorian chant. And some Telemann.

Should I be concerned that, of all the bands listed here, the only ones I know are Steely Dan and Beethoven?
