    Song(s) of the...arbitrary time frame (4/20/08)

Been on a bit of an electro kick lately

CSS - Music is My Hot Hot Sex (Kill The Noise Remix)
You probably heard the song in the iPod touch commercial. Catchy as hell, and this independent remix of it is absolutely stellar. One of the best remixes I've ever heard.

The Black Ghosts - Any Way You Choose To Give It
I cannot wait for the debut album from these guys. I've been listening to this song nonstop all week. They released it along with a full EP of remixes from The Whip, Boy 8 Bit, and Playgroup. Impossible to not bounce along with this song.

    Cicada - Edge
This self-titled album totally flew by under my radar a few years ago. The entire thing is quality from start to end. Edge is the opening song and instantly hooked me.

Moving Units - Crash 'n' Burn Victims
I think I've mentioned these guys in all my recent "Song(s) of the..." posts. The newest album is really incredible.

Rufus Wainwright - Across The Universe
Beatles cover. Rufus' voice is so unique. I just love this version of the song.

I always enjoy these threads, I usually end up getting some decent music from them.

Scroobius Pip - The Beat That My Heart Skipped
Shut Me Up - Mindless Self Indulgence
    Mahna Mahna - Cake
    ToS - Weezer(it just won't go away)

I need to take my iPod to school more, I haven't been listening as much as I used to.

I was worried when Ev_ did a "songs of the..." thread and didn't have anything from Muse or The Music. But then KOW came in with a Weezer song and made the world right again.

The Living End - Long Live the Weekend

Listen to all of "State of Emergency" by The Living End. You won't be disappointed.

Five Finger Death Punch - The Bleeding

    Body Count - Cop Killer

The latter helps me get into character, I'm playing a person being charged with attempted murder against an off-duty police officer in my acting class.

    Drist - The Scalpel
    Drist- Stripped
    Dreams - Van Halen

I know it's old, but I'd not heard Dreams until just recently. I really like it, funny how the radio stations never play it.

    Well lets see

I sort of just got over Carl Orff & Alestorm
    Carl Orff - O Fortuna
Really famous piece, you should recognize it
    Alestorm - Wenches And Mead
It is pirate metal and it is awesome, the band used to go by the name of Battleheart

I've been listening to Murder By Death, their album Red of Tooth and Claw is excellent.
Constantly listening to 3 Inches Of Blood since I saw em in concert

Murder By Death - Comin' Home
I discovered them while looking for concerts to goto and they were touring with Reverend Horton Heat and I listened to some of their stuff and I liked it. They just recently released this album and I can't really suggest a specific track, but the entire album is solid and this is coming from a metalhead... um I hope that doesn't scare you away from these guys.

3 Inches of Blood - Deadly Sinners
They have some riffs that are reminisicent of Maiden, an awesome falsetto vocalist and can really get you pumped. I thought I could mosh no more, but with every song they got me back into the pit.
