Diablo IV, Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 Forums - Diabloii.Net
I recently started playing D3 since the expansion came out. I had gotten tired of the seemingly pointless paragon level grinding in vanilla D3 and took a break. D3 Reaper of Souls expansion brought some fantastic improvments to the game. Why am I posting this in the D2 SPF?
I just feel that D3 RoS is still missing something fundamental that belongs in the Diablo series. I have not given up hope, there is no doubt in my mind that D3 will be a game I want to play, but today is not that day. I realized this while reading an intelligent, well written forums post pointing out flaws in the D3 itemization system. It was a link to another D2 related forum and was a screenshot based walkthrough of a HC character working towards completing goals that were stated on creation.
As I read all 29 pages of this persons journey, I thought more than once, "wow, now THIS is a game I would like to play."
What really made me shake my head in wonder, is the fact that all I had to do was move my curser to the left one inch on my desktop and I could be enjoying the best action RPG ever made. The D2 shortcut has been parked right there all this time, just waiting for me to come to my senses.
tl;dr I started playing D2 again.
