Some questions about Hammerdins.

Well, I was inspired to make a Hammerdin a few days ago (thanks to the guide by Dennis_KoreanGuy, even though mine was for PvM.)

But seeing how PvP and PvM Hammerdin builds don't differ much (at least, in the core of the build), I wanted to step into the PvP scene.

While he can take on the CS well, and the vast majority of newbs who decide to hostile the party when Chaos running (albeit not the more skilled ones, sadly), he can't survive in PvP.

Aaaanyway. I just had some questions about basic Hammerdin dueling.

1) Is there any way to know if you are desynching or not? And when you switch between Charge/Vigor and Hammer/Concentration, is there any way in particular to lay down a hammer field? Much too often have I seen pub Hammerdins get obliterated by simply standing there and spamming hammers. (Basically, how DO you lay down a charge/vigor field?)

2) How do you know when to use Teleport as a medium of transportation, compared to Charge/Vigor?

3) When FACING Hammerdins, how can you safely get in and out of a field? I've heard that walking works- and I've tested this, to an extent, versus a Fallen in A1 Normal. I spammed a hammer field, and the fallen walked into it and managed to get to me, unscathed.

4) Are there any tips or tricks that a Hammerdin should always be thinking?

I play on USEast Ladder, *MinionOfBoredom...

If a Hammerdin expert would be so kind as to show me some of the 'ropes', per se, I'd be grateful...^^

1) No, there's really not an indication that you are desynched or not. Have a friend tell ya whether you are or not, and just keep doin it. Eventually you'll kinda "get the feel" of it I guess is a good way to put it.

Best way to lay a hammerfield is generally below them. It's been a while since I played a hammerdin, but most avoid them by walking down. I'd start below them and mix in telestomps etc. Also when you're below them on the minimap, you'll see them both on minimap and on screen before they can see you.

2) Teleport is mostly used to just "telestomp" them. A good desynch charge + telestomp works wonders and is the premise of most hammerdin strategies.

3) HvH is mostly just a battle of desynching. Reading their desynch, herding them into your hammerfields, etc. Trying to run into a hammerfield and back out usually won't work too well..

4) Just don't be too predictable; mix up tele and desynch appropriately or people will just run down and nail you.

I think most of the above would eventually be doable for me, just with some practice...meh.

Just a question...what exactly is "telestomp"? I've heard some things about it concerning BvC dueling as well...
