Some Maul Questions

I was thinking of some build with Maul, when I realized I don't know how it works.

Is the skill like a powerup when after you activate it, in the 20 seconds can you use another skill. For example, can you activate Maul and then use Hunger to charge it up and then take advantage of Maul's ed?

No, Maul gains power for each successive hit that you've used the skill to a maximum of like, ten hits or something like that. The ball shows the progress of this (as your damage increases as the ball does). You have to use the Maul skill to charge it though.

What you CAN do is fully charge up Maul, switch to Hunger, attack for 19 seconds, attack with Maul again, rinse and repeat.
