Some Class ideas

ive been reading a little bit of lore and a couple of books that have been made by blizzard. and ive come up with two classes i think might be in d3. now im not gonna give you a list a bad skills ive sit and thought about.

my first class i think will be a pirate.. now i know ur thinking wtf? a pirate but if you read some stuff you will notice pirates are mentioned quite a bit. now how this will fit into the lore. is maybe he/she is just trying to become powerful and rich beyond desires while killing monsters.. and anything stopping him. now another good thing is. as mentioned in some lore/books some pirates use magic some melee and some range.. so this could fit into any spot. it can fit into another character like barbarian? or the range char that we know d3 will have

now my 2nd class is a priest. at first ur thinkin they have already mentioned they dont wont a healer. but in the lore there are some priest that turn against the zakaram church and become powerhungry and start focusing on evil.. now this idea could be bad or it could be an awsome combination of paladin/necro without all the summons from the necro side :D

leave feedback please

I dont think those classes are likely to come even if they are mentioned in the lore. It would feel particularly odd with a pirate running around saying AH with a woodenleg. I don't feel like playing a pirate on land, too odd.

I also doesnt think we are going to have more than 2 "magical class" which is demon witch and wizard so the priest goes out to.

I don't mind the pirate idea from a lore point of view - simply because most of the heroes are just that: Heroes. They set out to save the world/destroy evil/preserve the balance etc etc...

The concept of a character who is really just in the game for profit and personal gain isn't a bad one. The word 'pirate' though conjures up a pretty specific set of preconceived ideas...

'Bounty Hunter' or something like that?

I agree with Nihilas in that I don't think we'll see a third caster. However, I am expecteing to see a hybrid class that has at least one skill tree devoted to magic. It wouldn't surprise me if that class was some kind of variation on the theme of paladin/monk/priest.
