Socketing hammerdin items?

I've had a hard time thinking about what to socket my soon to built hammerdins items with. I'm going to use wizardspike, hoz, low maras and low resist anni which easily gives me maxed resists so i have no need for socketing items with ums or resists jewels. Could anyone give me feedback on what they've socketed their stuff with?

Also instead of using the more popular upped viper i'm tossing up between using an upped que hagens or guardian angel since i've already maxed res. If i use a guardian angel i'll have to either sacrifice frostburns for magefists, or a bk/soj for a caster ring to hit the 75FCR breakpoint (70FCR already from wizzy+arach mesh). The 20FHR from either armour also lets me hit the 5 frame FHR break point with the 20FHR from sandstorm treks and 2 * 5FHR sc. I've been thinking about using a +2 valor with a -15req jewel to get the str req to 140 when i get to lvl 85. This means again i'll have to sacrifice a soj or bk ring for a caster ring or use magefists instead of frostburns. Anyone think using a valors a good idea considering the extra str needed to wear it? But firstly could someone tell me what a +2 valor is worth in runes on USWEST ladder cause i have no idea  ?

Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks.

I think regardless of your choice of stuff, you should pick magefists over frosties... use mana charms or an SOJ to up your mana, and then use redemption to replenish it. Frosties are kind of useless if you can pull off enough mana elsewhere, and sacrificing frosties lets you keep your rings as SOJ/BK instead of caster rings, and lets you pick better armor.

Just my 2 cents...

If you can afford BK/SoJs and mara why not use HOTO?
About socketing few items obvious
a) HOZ - Cham (cbf), Ist (MF), Ber (PDR)
b) shako - Ist (MF), PTopaz (MF), Lo (+max lit resist), Ber (PDR)
About gloves - choice is really wide from Chances (MF) to Frosty (Mana) and Magefist/TO (FCR)
About armor - I'd stick with upped Viper untill time you gather runes/wealth for building/buying enigma (which is end-game ultimate armor for hammerdin)

He may be nonladder (I'm USEast SCNL and Ladder)... BK/SoJ's are somewhat cheap... a decent mara's is about an Um... HotO's runes are a lot more... I had a ton of SOJs, a couple BKs and 2 maras.. and it took me a good 2 months MFing/Trading to afford HotO and Enigma...

I just used a wizspike and a GA for awhile, they worked out fine. I got tele charges off an ammy, and still managed to MF effectively, but I did most of my MF on my sorc...

Another option for the HoZ would be p/diamond or Um for resists. You get +19 for p/diamond and +22 for Um. I use a p/diamond and save the Um for trading.

Thanks for the responses guys, i'm on USWEST ladder and to be honest i dont know how much (in terms of runes) a HOTO and enigma are. I've always thought they were their price were their price in runes which is quite a bit out of reach. I do have roughly 4 or 5 ists worth of runes which i could make a HOTO with but then i'd have nothing else to spend on other items. Could anyone please tell me the going rate of a low HOTO and low enigma?

I really doubt i can afford enigma but if i could get a low stat HOTO for around 4 um or gul i'd be happy to pay.

So no one liked the idea of using -15req +2 Valor?

Thanks again guys.

Edit: BTW I definately can't afford to put a ber or cham in my items!
