socketing colour

it seems blizzard changed around the colour armors take on when you socket them in 1.10
anyone got any kind of list of the colours you get with each gem? oh and is there any way to make swords white like you could with diamonds in 1.09?

the reason is i want a white sword for a pala with an uber holy look (holy shield, white sword and sanctuary) ^_^

i am not a fool sir!

hehe yeh white handled crystal swords do look pretty tight on pallys and barbs when they are wielded

im hopin to get a nice one for my pally that he can have on switch to cast HS

something like
w/e fools mod givs(lol i forgot offhand)
+3 to pally combat skills

thing is rosebranded(+3 combat skills) is a prefix as is fools...so i dont think this is possible, i think it would get the color from rosebranded...if im wrong sumone tell me cuz it would be sexy to have one of these

Uh, socketing them with a diamond? I don't think they changed diamond colorization? In that case, to *what* color? :)

Ruby: reddish

Sapphire: bluish

Emerald: greenish

Amethyst: purplish

Topaz: yellow-goldish

Skull: black (not blackish!)

Diamond: don't use them often enough to know what they look like in 1.10

Only the first gem inserted has any effect on color. Runes have none. If you insert both gems and runes, and put a rune in first, the item will look normal.

i think emeralds make things black too :/ and diamonds aswell.. most things seem to just make things blackish in 1.10 :(

I put a rockfleece on my druid & he turned purple from shoulder to toe! Lo and behold, a purple people eater druid!!

A one-eyed, one-horned flying purple people-eater druid...I have one in my closet. I've conditioned him to survive on a diet of stinkbugs and spiderwebs.

Hej Kanin.
*sigh*
You and your Stylish D2 Characters...
My suggestion would be to take a bunch of chipped gems and experiement with some cheap weapons and armor to see what colors you can come up with. Methinks it might have to do with the type of armour and weapon as well.
